Come on Jabe, she is totally incognito. Blending in with the gamorreans and the black guys in tantel armor.

For those of you that have never read the Thrawn triolgy or have just forgot....
Mara was the Emperor's Hand, sent to Jabba's in disguise as a dancer to kill Luke Skywalker behind Vader's back. They knew he'd come to rescue his friend and it would be the perfect place to get to him.
Now with that said, it makes sense to see here there but I don't recall seeing that in the special editions. If so how do we know thats Mara? Is it speculation or fact?

Good question Seret, anyone know? If that's her I'm upset that they put her in and left her off of the barge, she should have been at the execution and included her there somehow.

Ok, I do not remember this part.

ok, I cannot remember where I read this, but from what I understand is that IS her dancing. She wanted to be at the barge during the execution and was not allowed to come. Jabba had her doing something else at his hideout. I believe I read this in a character breakdown on the star wars database thingy.

She actually explains it in one of the thrawn trilogy books exactly that way. And Luke has a vision of her standing on the barge keeping him from getting the lightsaber that r2d2 launches to him.

Ah yes, you're right it's all coming back to me now. I may need to reread that trilogy. Now that's what Lucas should have done for 3 new movies. This prequal stuff just doesn't cut it. I think he'd have been better off keeping the characters we all love in the story.

The Trawn Trilogy is better written imo than the original series. I couldn't put those books down. The only movie I really enjoy from Star Wars is Empire.

Well I enjoy all the movies but I agree ESB is by far the best. But the Thrawn series was much better written then then at least ep 1-4. And they're so involving they just draw you in, they would have been block busters instead of busts.

The photo is from one of the SW card game cards. There's also one of mara jade with the none disguised red hair. She was not placed in the butchered ed.

Her attempt on luke's life is one of the short stories in "Tales from Jabba's Palace"
