SWG Tech Help

Question, I'm having a problem with my SWG software and was hoping someone might be able to help or at least point me in the right direction on where I can find help.

It seems that lately (last week or two) every time I use a shuttle to fly to another planet (or the Travel command on my ship) I get kicked out of SWG and back to character select screen. I then have to reconnect to the server and it does load me on the new planet but this is very annoying. Have any of you ever encountered this problem?

I myself had not had this particular problem, but I have had a few instances where my performace drops all of a suddent and I get crashes to desktop or get kicked back to the chracter select screen. Every time, it's been a problem with my video and/or sound drivers. Every time I have an issue, I update the drivers and the problem gets solved. I've also heard of problems coming up if you're using direct X b...you may need to upgrade to direct X c.

Like Zannon said, first check that your sound and video drivers are up to date and then make sure you are running DirectX 9.0c (this is now a requirement for SWG). Also check the in game knowledge base, I think there is an article on these symptoms.

Hey, yeah my video card was out of date, I updated that and it seemed to fix the problem. I had it pop up again later in the evening but it may have been I was logged off because I was taking care of my son and left it for a little while. Thanks for all your help I think I'm good now.
