Just watched the show ER i taped from this last Thursday.
In it, Carrie Weaver finally finds her real mother, and come to find out, her mom lives near Chicago, in Indiana...where do you say? Why Terre Haute!!
This could be the highest profile mentioning of this town since Steve Martin called it the "armpit of america."
So here are the facts.
1. The mom got preggers at 14
2. Went to a halfway house for pregnant girls in Terre Haute
3. Gave up the kid
4. When they meet, the mom is a hick and heavily into christianity.
5. When the mom finds out her kid is a lesbian, she will have nothing to do with the kid, because that's what religious hicks do.
All they needed was for her to drive up in a beat up pickup with a sticker of Calvin pissing on #24, another sticker saying "I'd rather push a ford than drive a chevy," and beer cans in the bed....
When TV imitates life...
And a LIZARD with a Firebird up on blocks out back because he WON'T MOVE OUT OF TOWN.Skarr wrote:Just watched the show ER i taped from this last Thursday.

HEY MAN, the firebird isn't up on blocks in the back yard...It's on IT"S OWN WHEELS, parked out FRONT on the street. True, it needs a new water pump and will overheat if the engine is running and the car is not moving forward, but it runs, my man!X'an Shin wrote:

It'll even outrun someone's honda, even though the honda is at least 12 years newer than mine. But at least the Honda FINALLY has remote door locks....

Yeah, but those doorlocks are a technological marvel. It's not like you can just pick on of those transmitters up at an electronics store, hit the button five times and lock your doors five times, and have fully functioning keyless entry, Skarr. That kind of technology is cutting edge and comes at a hefty price.Skarr wrote:HEY MAN, the firebird isn't up on blocks in the back yard...It's on IT"S OWN WHEELS, parked out FRONT on the street. But at least the Honda doesn't have to live in Terre Haute. That was the original point. I don't care that you own a Firebird. That's cool and all.Skarr wrote:It'll even outrun someone's honda, even though the honda is at least 12 years newer than mine. But at least the Honda FINALLY has remote door locks....
JUST GET THE F OUT OF HAUTE ALREADY.

So go grab one at "Radio Shack" (electronics store?) and see if it works on your car, Delt ;PDel'tar Chagas wrote:Yeah, but those doorlocks are a technological marvel.
