The Empire's got a problem...

I know all of us here are roleplayers so not every one is involved in pvp all the time. But things on our server have escilated to a point that I feel every one needs to step up. Our beautiful galaxy has be come over run by rebels. Every where I look I see overt Rebels smack talking, beating, and harassing members of our great Imperium.

This has to stop.

Due to problems with the game or what ever we have lost the might that the Empire use to have. Several guild members and friends of mine are planning and organizing to stop this attrocity. The rebels must be stoped. On our entire server I've seen but two dark Jedi striving to stand their ground and give the Rebels a fight. The other night a combat squad of OvT members was slaughtered by 5 or 6 light Jedi.

I call this to all of your attention. Would you be willing to help us fight back the threat? To put a end to the Rebel domination of Gorath? It starts here my friends. It starts here as a idea, a goal.

I was killed by a Rebel Jedi in Theed today, in broad daylight! Yes, this Rebel situation is out of control. We must put them down.

As a roleplayer, I want the Empire to be winning. Especially in this era. The alliance slapped the emperor in the face by blowing up his deathstar. We rebels should be getting a beat down like no other.

However, there is no way to appeal to the conscience of the non-roleplayer. Many of them are "dewdz" who just want to "pwn".

We can close ranks as a roleplay community and shape things to our liking, hoping that others don't come and ruin our fun. Part of me always wished we (roleplayers) all lived closer together and not scattered across the galaxy.

My other suggestion would be to contact some of the sensible rebel leaders and pose your suggestion to them. Maybe a timely mass defection could put things in order.

Be careful not to put things too far out of balance... that is not good either. If you have too many overt imps.. you will see no overt rebels... and everyone will get bored.

On a personal level, Ekade will not go Imperial. She is a twi'lek.. the empire hates her for being an "alien". Unless some major brainwashing were to take place, I don't see this happening. Also, Ekade is a confident being.. now more so then ever. She sees things clearly and understand her purpose. Something HUGE would have to happen for her to become and imperial.

From an RP standpoint how can you tell when someone is a Rebel? Rebels are supposed to be underground, hiden. A rebelion may stage some acts of terrorism, the occasional anti-Imperial commando may go gung-ho on an Imperial. They should be calculating their strikes, planning them carefully, striking hard and fast and then dissappearing.

Some are not. In the Rebelion they call these people idiots. Fools who think they stand behind a cause but really only want some glory at the cost of blood. Fools will go nowhere, no one will notice them because they will take extra effort to forget them.

But the smart ones will win. The smarts will blow up deathstars, take back forest moons and defeat Lord Vader and the Emperor. Somehow I know that is true.

So the next time you see a man grandstanding in Theed after killing many Stormtroopers in broad daylight know he's not long for this world and count on the fact that you will soon forget his name, as will his commrades.

But the next time you wake in the morning and your Imperial base nestled safely in your town with a cadre of Stormtroopers and mechanized AT-STs is torn asunder and left a smoking pile of debris, know the true Rebellion is out there and they're coming for you next.

I think the whole rebel problem is that too many are jedis. That's what causes the imbalance in the power.

One of my good friends is an Imperial RPer, and he unfortunately has gotten really angry and turned off from the game as a whole due to being attacked and exploited by overt Rebel Jedi. Personally I feel it's a part of the game and part of being factionally aligned--but I can understand the frustration behind it.

I agree, that being attacked is part of the game. But when i'm constantly killed by something that shouldn't even BE there, then i tend to get pissed off. Death to the jedi. Call me when you need My squad leading assistance in any raid. :P

That is the biggest petpeve I have in game is seeing some one say "pwn" I want to smack my head against a desk until I pass out every time I see it.

A good chunk of us are Battlefield 1942 clan members of old. We share your hatred for "pwn" and would also add "l33t" and "roxor" to the list.

I do admit though, I can't help but say "w00t" from time to time.

You know what's funny? (Well, to me.) So I've been saying "pawned" when I do say it, because I thought it was a reference back to chess and the little wussy expendable pieces I love so much. (Dork alert.) One of my L3373R-than-I friends had to inform me that it was not, in fact, from chess, that it was actually "owned" just with a p stuck in front of it and spelled REALLY badly.

Trust me.. I know..

I used to live on Rori and traveled through Theed on a daily basis. Theed is the capital of l337. My brain was assaulted constantly. Exposure to so much stupidity was causing my brain cells to abandon ship and jump out my ears.

Ugh, I despise Theed.
