Yes the game looks and feels great and at first I thought,"Oh joy, level grinding" but thats not really the case. This game doesnt feel like a level grind more like, you wanting to obtain the requirments for say Kung fu, or maybe Dual pistols or Smg's. I myself have gone into martial arts, heres how it works, you can level to the max which is 50 and still get your ass handed to you by a lvl15, Why you may ask? cause if you dont interact with fellow players in the game, you wont get any skills past the basics. The game relys on player interaction to gain skills like kung fu, only Coders can make them for you.
You cannot begin advanced martial art forms IE. Akidio,Kung fu, or karate till level 10 that is the first requirment among other skills you need from operative. So yes Iam level 13 now but heres the catch, once you hit level 8, every time you die any code bits (numbered 1-8) are lost. No xp loss which I think is great, now you may go "huh no xp loss, whats so important about code bits?", well a coder needs a certin number of certin numbered bits to make certin abilites. Also you dont get 250 skill points, you get a certin amout of brain storage(used for your skills) at certin levels so if you think hell, Ill hit 10 and grab all the kung fu and whatever else, your wrong you will not be able to.
Yes to answer your questions, Agents can and will kill you ALOT!. I havent had the chance cause I covered my ass. To keep agents off your case you need to go around now and then and "Hack" a acces node inside the matrix.These nodes as they are called, scramble your RIS, which is the link that agents use to find you, they also help you level fast by granting 1500-4500 xp depending on their location.
Now that I got the basics out of the way, the fun STUFF!. I have never experienced what I did last night and I have screenshots to show you. I was in a part of the city called "Mara", where I go for abilites and such, well I heard somone shouting "Party at Club w/e" I cant remember the name, so I said what the hell lets check this out, well I get there and there had to be 60 people there when I arrived, and I thought wow pretty kool, yet no RP, WRONG AGAIN. I heard three or four ongoing conversations of RP, one of which I was involved in.
Heres the kicker, I got their and heard the same old music over yet I say people scream, "THIS SONG IS THE BEST KEEP IT UP DJ", I though to myself "Whats so special about this song its the same one thats been on for almost 30 mins", Well to my surprise there is an actual online DJ, who is also in game that hosts an Online radio satation called Radio Free Zion. So I hoped on it and i have to say it was pretty kool, really makes you feel like your in a club and having fun. Their were contests for millions of Info (( credits)), and prizes and I own a million for being in all black with a cowboy hat on.
.Ok back to the game, Missions: Work in a very kool way, you work for three groups. Either The machines, Zion, of the Exiles (( the french dude that had the key maker)). You use a cell phone to call them for missions and go out and kill things or recover items, whatever the hell they need you to do and you get paid very well, Now heres why. When you level up. We will take my toon as an example.
