Name of Event: Cymrych's Crack Shot Competition

Location: New Myrk'r, Dantooine (2867, -6886) Near the Argo Outpost
Date: Time: Saturday March 12th - 4pm US Central Standard Time
Purpose of Event: To find out who has the fastest gun in the land! There are two bunkers side by side with 10 targets in each one. Two players will enter the bunkers on my signal with a judge following them to make sure they knock down all 10 targets, the first player to come back out of the bunker will win the round moving on to the next round. Targets are distributed throughout the bunker and you will have to search for them in order to knock them down. It is your responsibility to find them all before coming back out. If a judge says that you missed one you will be disqualified. The targets are various mobs that fall down when shot and then get back up for the next round. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place in each division and a grand champion. There will be three divisions pistols, rifles and carbines. The first and second place contestant of each division will then compete for the grand champion.

Registration: I will take as many contestants as I can get. Registration fee will be 20,000cr. I will allow everyone a chance to enter by sending me a in game e-mail with the division you want to participate in or posting in the forum and sending me a PM. Since the community is not responding well if you have more then one division you wish to enter please let me know. I will accept registration e-mails dated March 11th or before. I will send out an in game email to everyone so that you will know who you are competing against as soon as everyone's registration has been completed. I will also post a list of the contestants for each division on this forum so you can check here. To complete your registration you will need to pay the registration fee on or before March 11th. You can pay it via bank tip if you can not find me in game.

Rules

1) You may ONLY use one weapon for the entire competition. You may not switch weapons while running the course nor between rounds. So bring the best weapon you have and leave the rest at home.

2) Players awaiting their turn or just here to observe the competition are not allowed to interfere or try to distract another contestant while they are completing their run on the course. Nor are players allowed to help another contestant in anyway.

3) Players can not use pets, droids or anything else that would help you attack the targets faster.

4) Players may not use burst run or force run in order to move through the course faster. No pets or vehicles can be used to increase your speed either.

5) Although our war rages on and has recently increased please take some needed time on leave and come to enjoy the festivities without fighting.

6) You may use powerup's on your weapons but you may not use any DOT weapons. I know you will not want to as that will give the next player an advantage if the targets have a DOT applied to them.

If you would like to set up a temporary tent and sale your goods at the event please contact me. I will try to accommodate all that wish to do so, but have limited space. I will assign you a place on Friday March 11th giving you time to prepare for the event.

Oh I'll definately be there for pistols. Several questions though, first of all, by Knockdown do you mean Kill or actually just knock down? And secondly can we use specials with DOT's like torso shot?

He really needs more carbineers and riflemen. Theres like 6 people signed up for pistols and only one for carbines and rifles.

Bah. I'd kill to sign up for this, but I work this weekend, and that's just the time I'll be asleep. Bah. All the good stuff happens on the weekends I work.

I can imagine that being a problem. I however have no Carbine or Rifle skill to speak of. I'll just have to hope for a Random selection then.

Is Hashum your in game name, as I will sign you up for pistols. For the targets they should be black barred before the event so it will only take one of two shots to knock them down. They are Ewoks and it is funny to hear them yell as they fall over. Yes, knock down as they get back up for the next round of contestants so you don't kill them. As it states in the rules you can not use dots, and you will not need them as the targets fall quickly plus it would give an advantage to the player after you if the target was still affected by it. Please let me know if you guys have any questions. I have updated the prizes also and will edit that on here.

Yes Hashum is my in game name. You said there bars are all going to be black except for 1 or 2 hits, wouldn't this be a problem as many may get killed before they're knocked down?

Okay, you are registered for pistols division. I have been testing two targets for over a week and they have been completly black barred. They stand there until shot and then scream and fall down. After a few seconds they get back up for the next time. Using my good pistol it takes one shot to knock them down. It is not a mob that you kill, they are made to fall down and get back up and that is why the devs let me test them for over a week. If you want, the two test targets were still in New Myrk'r on Dant. as of last night and you are welcome to go by and take a few shots to see for yourself.

Ok, it all makes sense to me now. Thank you. I may try to stop by there tonight and see if they're still there.

My bad Novall as I thought Katosan was going to give it for a shooting costume. However after comfirming this he is going to give away a case of brandy to the most creative and colorful costume in the audience. So if you are a melee guy or girl you can still show up and win something! Just come out and have a good time.

Just wanted to let you guys know I updated the information at the top. If you have registered you need to make sure to pay the entrance fee to complete registration. The bunkers are in place and I have tested them out and for those of you not coming you are going to miss out on a great event! See you all tomorrow!

unfortunately I'm going to not be able to make it tomorrow night My birthday's today and my family is going to take me out tomorrow evening. I'd rather stay home but they just have to insist!!!
