as soon as the game starts to load, the game quits...

did a full scan and nothing fixed

gonna try rebooting after looking at the swg forums...

That sucks man.. I'm in game now and I see you joining the quitting....

Don't know what to say to fix it man...

the music fades out, the world starts to load, then I'm seeing the desktop

UPDATE:

I started the game for the 100th time, after adjusting every option, and after the statring screens I alt-tabbed back to desktop to continue reading the forums, figuring it would crash again on its own, but to my surprise the game started to load in, because I heard the music for Lok. so I alt-tab back to see whats happening, and it creates an error and crashes...

ok so I try again, alt-tabbing out, and let it totally load in, and I alt-tab back and there I am on the screen...so I stand up and start to move, and the game crashes to dektop again...

ran all tests in dxdiag and they test fine, looks like swg now has a problem with my gf 5950ultra 256 mb...but it has to be a new problem on their end cuz I've been playing with this card for months

2nd update:

went to nvidia.com to get some older drivers to try them, and found that they have released the 61.76 drivers just a few days ago, loaded them up and the game runs fine now...

ahh I am running those drivers..

and what's funny is I reverted to an older version so I could overclock but I out the new ones back on before I started playing swg again..

I bet I would have been in the same boat...

there's an addon called coolbits that puts back the overcloking into the drivers, it's like a 13k file

The new Nvidia drivers also now have the Shader 3.0 support in them for the 6 series cards.

Damn, now that Skarr's back, I can't beat down everyone in MidCo. On the other side cheap buffs. Hmmm, this is a paradox. J/K, glad to hear you got it fixed. I had a problem similar to that one, because my old video card couldn't support DirctX 9.0, but if you have a GF 5950 Ultra, that's definintly not your problem.

It's O.K. I just swapped it out with a Laser Rifle that had a max damage of like 50 to it. Oh, sure, I sliced it, but you can have that whopping 30% damage increase to 65.

When we fought one-on-one I was but a novice brawler. The other night mid-town I was blindsided and attacked by 3 people at once. You wanna go Puppy Chow? Lezgo. I won't even buff.

I'm kidding, obviously If you had asked me to slice it in character, though, I probably would have taken extra pains to do just that however.
