I just wanted to throw a little info out there for those that may not have tried this quest or maybe skimmed past it in yesterday's patch notes.
I have to say so far the story has me intrigued but just to warn you thats all you're going to get out of this first part. There is no usuable loot to be had when all is said and done. On the other hand his is only part I and this could be time released like some village quests and the loot comes later on. Who knows just yet.
I'm simply going to list the locations for the Rebel side of things. I'll leave the details up to all of you to find out for the fun of it.
(Note: This is the Rebel side of the quest. Imps and Neutrals start eleswhere)
Start> Tyrena Cantina, Coreillia - Rebe Soldier
> Fly to Rori then shuttle to a Player City named Last Blizzards Hope. Its about 2000 meters to the crash site from there. (Note the crash sit is saturated with Weak, Strong and Elite Mercenaries. They can be tough. I suggest at least full buffs first if not get a friend to do the quest at the same time and go together).
> Fly back to Tyrena, Corellia and speak to the soldier again
> Fly to Narmel, Rori and speak to the Doctor Vang in the Medical Center
> Fly to Mos Eisley and go to the doctor's friend.
> After you find the Doc's friend and complete the mission at hand that will be it for now. Don't bother flying back to talk to past NPCs, it will do you know good. For now you're left with a few quest items in your inventory.
I just hope thie elivates into something cool.

I've seen Imperials and Rebels ending up in the same spot for the end of this portion of the new story arc; and it seems to be a bit of a major let down to everyone. But it has done one thing most deffinately... piqued our interests enough to want to know just what in the frak is going on!!

Yes, I think your average player who only does quests for loot and other rewards like badges are going to be let down. There is absolutely no reward for the first part of this quest.
But for me this has my interest big time. It also is one of those few things I see my character actually doing. At times the pre-made responses and stories we do on quests just don't seem like our character would do and say them. This is one of those quests that appeals to all characters so it should be fun.
As RPers we should enjoy this. As for Power Gamers, they should probably not bother.

You know you can do this as neutral by starting in the Theed cantina right? No need to be Rebel or Imperial for this quest.

Hmm, is there a badge for it? I like having them for rp, It proves how Jaminos has been everywhere and done many things.

Since there give a Neutral path for this quest I'd say yes, there is probably a badge at the end for Neutrals too.

I just noticed this, and it may be a coincidence, but I am ever the optimist...
I was reading about wookiees at the unnofficial star wars encyclopedia and it mentioned something about a trial that young wookiees go through to achieve "adult" status...
They must venture to the forest floor and recover fibers from a bulb called a "Syren"...
I wonder if this quest will have a tie-in to the new expansion? I hope it does.

Nice catch Del'tar. It would be cool to have this be a tie-in.

Now that you mentioned that...
I'd bet money on it

Very interesting. That would be a very nice tie in. I like it already. I've been meaning to do this quest and just keep forgetting about it.
