I was soooooooo busy stirring up the current story arc plot for the Nocturnus folk that I didn't get to really mingle.

Well its real quiet here today, and I can only guess because all hell broke loose when we tried to apprehend Kushiel in to Imperial custody. We had a massive fire fight in the Lucky Despot. Norel had his big-ass spider out there (I asked him to put it away), there were flame throwers, thousands of lasers flying everywhere and people running like Godzilla just showed up. Kushiel ran outside and we sent him to the cloning center.

Coiyonite walked back in and said "Any other MidCo members want to make a mistake?" I think the night ended there. As much as I didn't want that to happen to that degree, it did. I must say that will be the last time too. I personally think it was very Star Wars-esque with the raging battle going on while people just chilled out and took their spice...

I think we might have pissed Ekade off. I don't know, she's among the few that are in rare form today by not posting. Your guess is as good as mine.

Krida got to be an absolutely idiot last night after she got smashed (pickpocketing plan gone awry), and also be a total b*tch to several people, in true form. So I was pleased.

However, I'm still trying to get around the whole...mingling-while-being-a-b*tch thing. She's not exactly friendly, and so of course nobody wants to interact with her, but she's so...scummy. Everyone's far too nice for it to be Scum and Villany night. Last night there were lots of exclamations about people not dressing nice enough...and I was like, huh? What sort of party is this? *grins*

Though I suppose I don't really know--what IS the in-character reason for the parties? Are they supposed to be fancy?

Anyway, I've got to break my Dwilah habits and actually have Krida pickpocketing people next one I go to. And then selling the stuff to somebody else at the party, and then that person gets blamed...heehee. Could be fun.

(Can you tell I'm waiting to leave for my trip? Lots of rambling.)

I actually have work to do on occasion. I have been in meetings all friggin day do far.

I thought the event went extremely well judging by the OOC tells I have been getting. All the feedback has been positive so far. We had a great band going too. Unfortunately I was RP'ing so much (I had to meet with 4 different people to help advance their respective plotlines) that I had almost no time to entertain.

As a result I ended up ignoring my master for 2 hours. That always puts him in a bad mood. But that's just good clean RP fun so don't worry about that.

In looking at the number of folks there, and how long they stayed there, I'd say it was a success.

I saw some new faces there, I think Sepiv brought some of her guildies.. and I saw some Noct folks that I don't normally see. I usually try to interact with people I don't know to sort of welcome them and get their RP rolling. Last night was the exception in that I had too much to do.

So yes, overall.. big success, thanks to all who came and RP'd.

Oh, BTW.. when you all started fighting.. I wanted to fight too... just because. It is so rare that I actually get the chance to brain someone with my gaffi. I know it is sort of OOC for me to say that.. but sometimes you just need to split someone's skull. *batlashes*

I doubt Ekade is mad. We spoke about things like this happening after last weeks event. This event is when things like that need to be happening. I was a bit dissapointed at how so many people had a hard time with one 8-) j/k

I was extremely impressed lastnight at the amount of RP going on at any given point in the Despot. I would say lastnight was a COMPLETE SUCCESS as far as events go. Maybe nextweek we can get Pex to come hang with us for a bit.

Anyhow...good show.

I know what you mean about mindging while being a bitch. It is hard to be a villain, or just plain disagreeable and get people to want to interact with you just to be social. The ornery character needs a reason to talk to someone where the friendly character does not. It is almost as if you need to pre-plan it.

As far as everyone being too nice for scum and villany night.. I have gotten the same comment from Tramel and Novall as well. I agree 100%. Everyone is too nice. I don't know what to do about it. Maybe we just try to focus and RP a little more gritty and mean. Maybe we should play up on racial dislikes and such. Maybe the dancers act a little whorish (keeping it in the realm of good taste of course).

Like I said above, it is hard to be mean.. I think for the most part we are very nice people. Please share your ideas on how we can add more Scum and more Villany to the event.

As far as an IC reason for the party... It is not so much a party as it is a place where people regularly meet to dicuss their seedy business, get drunk, and take in some entertainment. OOC it is a potential venue for anyone's RP events.

I really must say I had a great time last night, although I had my plate soo full of logging on as this NPC to do this, then another to do something else, and then Zannon (who never actually made it to the Despot because he had to bust up some guys that were messin up his Rodian soul brother, Jorhel). I was getting dizzy and had to play in 3rd person the whole time just to keep track of who I was. Next week, I only need to be one character the whole night (but, not Zannon as usual). Man, I gotta stop making my story arcs soo complex.

When the Nocturnus Casino opens for business, I guess I'll have to just play me on casino nights.

I logged out sitting down in the Despot yesterday afternoon in the hopes I could come back and not have to do too much travelling. I didn't have time to jump in until a while later than the scheduled time but i figured what the heck, i might catch the tail end of the RP excitement. So i logged on:

I appeared in the same seat that i had logged out but this time, the room was different. I appeared right smack dab in the middle of a cantina full of the opposing guild. Talk about needing to craft some new shorts. After that, the RP, PVP, mop the floor with me excursion ensued.

Needless to say, I completely missed the S&V party.
