With Dwilah's help I just recently finished my latest video! or should I say Mini-movie!
Background:
This song comes from a grammy winning album, and I love the song and didn't like the video, so here's my SWG version of it. Except what happened is that it turned more into a mini-movie than a music video, so I added a 30 sec intro, with music from SW:ANH (see if you can figure out the song, it's a clip that comes after the music that's used for when it's raining in game...the song name fits the video concept too....$5 Zannon guesses it)
Th video is shot entirely in Nocturnus, on gorath, all with PC's, with no event perks used (see if you can figure out how I did the "Specials"). I would like to thank the following for letting me use their characters, or filming them:
in order of appearance:
Zannon
Ahnk'ara
Mess'tar
X'an
Seret
Lok'i
Trayuse
Nutrinous
Shipwreck
Skorixor
Skarr
Krusshyk
Jotun
E-bo
Tosca
Dwilah
The intro music is also a little quiter than the regular music, so expect a volume increase. Also there is one f-word in the song (that's edited for radio) and it's pretty clear...it comes in around 2:20 into the video, so you can hit mute for a sec for those at work. People who recognize the song will know where it's coming.
Overall it's right at 5 minutes long and 35 mb, and you'll need the divx plugin for it, available here http://www.divx.com/divx/download/
and of course, it wouldn't be one of my videos without some 360 camera shots (maybe I should get a patent on them)
so enjoy!

The latest SWG MUSIC VIDEO by Skull1 Productions
pretty sweet... difficult fade shots...
also I was planning on using some 360's in a short I was working on, but they were kind of different... I have the shots, I just dont have the shots I need to finish the video.... Im going to have to change the whole freaking thing now because it was set to one song, and featured a clip of the ship landing in the starport...
thanks Skarr... totally preempted my video.
*I realize until I pay for the full version of fraps Im too lazy to get enough 30sec. clips to make a full feature.*

Don't know if people noticed, but zans walking got faster and faster as the video went on, partly as planned, partly because I was running out of song time

I was moved.
Seriously, beautiful piece of work, King Lizard. The pacing, the fades, the intesity towards the end were all great stuff. It may be a silly concept to put SWG caps to modern music but screw it that rocked.
Though I couldn't help but laugh at screens with blue borders that shrunk and floated off-screen. They just gave me so horrible 80's video flashbacks.

I liked it alot!, the fades were really cool and a great Idea, I also like how it's a mini-movie and the beginning gives you a nice storyline which totally makes the movie

Very nice. And the music you picked from ANH fit the scene exactly. Luke coming to see his dead parents fits that perfect. Best part was with the scout trooper. Needed more imperials mowing down the pirate scum.
