Earlier this week, an admin on the SOE boards deleted Dwilah's Spontanious Roleplay List thread without explanation. Both she and I have PM Virrago and GarVa asking why this was done. To this point (now going on 3 days), we have had no replies from them. SOE has made it a policy to ignore the RPers on SWG and I think it's high time that we make ourselves heard. The SRP list is a positive RP tool that has a great following, we should NOT let it die on the SOE boards easily. Here is the text of my PM if you need ideas on how to write your's:

There was a thread in the Gorath forum called "Spontanious Roleplay List" that was a list of roleplayers on the Gorath server that were always up for playing in character. As of today, this thread has been deleted. It was something that started on the SWG Message board that I help run and one of our members decided to extend to the SOE boards in order to get RPG elements a little more active in the game. The thread on the SOE boards was positive and civil, it did not viloate any forum rules, and was one of the few threads on the Gorath message boards that was actually worth reading.

Yeah, I was pretty upset when I clicked the link to update, and found it deleted. My PM was read yesterday morning and ignored. Maybe with numbers, we can catch their attention. The key is to remember to be polite and civil with this--we won't get any answers by being inflammatory.

Hi, I was wondering why my thread "Gorath RP Contact List" was deleted. I've received no notification of why it was deleted and there wasn't any flaming in the post--it was nothing but player-made constuctive connections. I was sort of upset to find out it was deleted because I have been working very hard to expand the RPing community, as it's a positive aspect of the game and really keeps a lot of people going. Please let me know why the thread was deleted and if it would be okay if I posted a new, updated one.

Rally behind this one folks. This is the most dispicable thing I've ever seen happen on the SOE boards. I can think of no good reason to delete that thread save a flame fest that occurred (and then the offending posts should of been deleted not the thread) and even if there was they could at least show enough respect to reply and give the original poster a reason.

Don't let them slide on this one.

The thread did not go bad. I actually checked on it about 6 hours before we noticed it was deleted to make sure it was still on the front page (which it was). There were no flames and it was 100% civil and positive.

I just reposted the list guys but still haven't received any word from SOE on the first thread, we'll see what happens. I stuck an explanation at the top about the first one being deleted with no explanation and PMs being ignored.

I swear the devs can be real weankers at times. It was somthing that people voulntiered for, not somthing they were forced to do. Besides, this is not their site. They do not reconize this place as an offical sw site anyways. Just more proof that the Devs have nothing better to do.

Just wondering why the "Gorath RP Contact List" was deleted? There was no visible TOS violations in the post from any replies or the origional message. If this was done by mistake, then thats all well and good. I know mistakes can be made when your watching over forums this big.

If however there was some other reason, please reply with the reason so that I'm not here wondering if it was bad form on your part, or just a forum mistake. RPers get hardly any love in SWG as it is. Gorath has one of the strongest RP communities out of all the servers, and to take away our public ability to invite others to join us is extremely bad form in my opinion.

I've been on this game since Beta...and as you can tell by my join date, I'm one of the longest running members on the SWG forums. I also think that I deserve an explination as a paying customer of this service.

In truth SOE does not accept fan site submissions unless the site is 100% complete with all links working. I'm sad to say we're not there yet but I'm working on it.
