Clone Wars Volume II (Spoilers for the Animated Series)

Post Reply
Aaaanybody else loving this like nuts? I don't even know where to start. It's just freaking great. You can watch the new ones on the Cartoon Network website (http://www.cartoonnetwork.com/promos/20 ... index.html) the day after they air... But this is the second volume (third season).

It makes me feel fuzzy and warm and good to see SW stuff. And I think they do an amazing job of weaving the SW tale...putting in elements from new, old, and Expanded Universe. Even weaving in small bits of Anakin's slip to the Dark Side. ("That's no fun...")

The highlights on species not frequently used... (Max Reebo's species, Ortolans). The gray kitty tribal boogers at the end of episode II make me thing of the Noghri, but of course wrong planet...

As an animation geek (huzzah!), I'm adoring it, even though I usually miss it and end up watching the small one from the starwars.com site. Picked up the first volume yesterday afternoon and will probably kill the night by watching it. :)

Didn't the same folks do Samurai Jack? The style's similiar (blocky, bold colors and pretty backgrounds). I would love to try to draw some characters in this style.

Wish they'd show some bothans....grrr.. <G> Love the way they make Shak-ti (I probably screwed up the poor lady's name). All swoopy and pretty. Would love if SWG and SOE would let her species be one of the future new ones... (pardon my laziness of not going and finding her homeworld and proper spelling...)

I like the shows style too the only diffrence between the SW stuff and Jack is that there are no black outlines in the Jack serries. Gives for a very cool interesting look. I've been concidering trying some thing like that with my own style by scanning an inked drawing into the comp coloring it with a water colors program I have then deleting the inks to see how it looks. But alas I'm workin on a new portfolio maybee some other time.

Huug...I finished reading Laberith of Evil a month ago and it was the same this as what they did on cartoon network with one HUGE thing diffrent. Anikin and Kenobi find a holonet transever that was given to the Sepratist by Sidious. Anikin and Obi Wan are sent off to trak down the parts while Mace and a few other Jedi track its transmissions to the idustrial sector on Coruscant. Thats why Palpatine has Grevious come and kidnap him. I was still cool to watch but I hate it when they cannt even cordinate their stuff. You'd think that they'd check with one another to get big stuff like that right and on the same page with one another.
