Killng off Batak Sai'nu?

I'm toying with the idea to be blunt; In RP. Deffinately 'not' re-rolling him. I was going to get everyone's thoughts on it. So far, most everyone says, "Horrible idea." Me, I'm already a bit of an 'extremist' RPer though. I try and think what my toon would do before I actually do it; And I nearly always have a reason for my actions.

With Batak I just feel he's spiraled too quickly for a 'realistic' recovery. He's in many ways already at the Anakin Skywalker going Vader route. Vreese has worked out well in development and oddly enough Grieves seems to be buzzing in circles now too. A lot of histories of characters being tied together now; And I handn't planned on doing that.

So, my question for the community is the considerations I could do with Batak if you think I shouldn't kill him off in RP? ((His love life constantly goes to hell in a hand basket, he 'is' soft and bruises easily with the heart, He's already turned to using Dark Side powers out of hatred, and he's being tortured by a man that's probably already warpped him enough in torture that he'd never be quite right again... if he'd even survive at this point.)) As Ekade has told me though... no making decissions after midnight on Fridays. So, I'll just wait and see what some of you think about it; Although, I know most don't know Batty enough to formulate an opinion. :-)

I vote no...Without a re-roll, you'll be cutting your RP repetoire by 1/3, and it'd be more fun to RP-disappear him for a while, and bring him back with more evil and twice the nougat.

Plus! You'd waste a good nickname.

I haven't had a chance to RP with you at all, being on stage most of my time, so I can't say yay or nay. But killing off a toon is ALWAYS a huge decision, so just don't rush into anything. Being impulsive myself I know how hard it is to just wait, but yeah, give it lots of thought. :-D

If you kill him in RP you have to delete the char.. When Jabe died I tried pretty hard (at least for a while) to keep him invisible from everyone. When Coiy died I deleted the character.

Bascially, in my opinion, don't cheapen your RP..

I know when jabe tried it, all he did was play alone, because he couldn't react with anyone since he was dead...and I kept thinkin, "this sucks"

so to solve it, he had to come up with a way for him to come back, and it wasn't easy by any means

It's looking like I might wind up dissappearing him for awhile then; though even I don't know what is going to happen with the free for all story we've got going. We've got at least 10-12 people going their own way with it ((and I love where it's going)). As far as Batak goes... we'll just have to see.

The fact that you are asking us tells me you are not 100% sure yourself.

Rules to follow in life:
1) Do not have kids unless you are 100% sure you want them
2) Do not delete your MMO chars unless you are 100% sure you want to

And for Batty:

3) Do NOT make any important decisions after midnight on Fridays.


NOTE: Batty gets freakin WIERD after midnight. Buyer beware! If you find yourself in a scene with him after midnight.. be afraid.

Most likely he will wind up just disappearing for a little while 'after' we resolve some things with Grieves. I hadn't really intended on a definitive end for Grieves when I started but now that the account is on a bit of a countdown ((since I don't really want to keep 3 accounts going for too long)); I'll play this out for at least a few more weeks so we can have some fun with it ((for those involved)); Then decide what happens to Batty at the 'end' of this.

I think Friday nights are my big decission nights simply because that's when most of you are on and when the most happens ig for the character to think about as well. Who knows, Batty may end up sold to someone, turn to an evil character himself, or simply seek solitude and isolation from people... mostly because those are the possibilities after his experiences and interactions with the other toons.

Just so this is posted somewhere... I 'am' keeping the Batak toon. However, he is no longer an RP character. I'll direct other players in game outside of the community to others for any specific teachings of the Goddess while I am logged on with the toon so on and so forth. For all intents and purposes though... do not interact with me while I'm logged on with him now. Which also means, Dwilah, remove him from the RP listing.
