Ranks added

Ranks have just been added to the forum. This means you'll achieve a series of ranks under you name depending on how many posts you have. This is just a minor addition and I really hope it doesn't cause any pointless spam. Its just there for fun.

The ranks are based on the Imp/Rebel ranks you can achieve is Star Wars Galaxies.

I always thought Rebel insignias look like dice.

Unless we do a custom rank for every registered person on this forum we have to stick to one common system. I think the Imperial insignia's look best and stay relavent.

The ranks have nothing to do with your characters, only your post count. Their only purposes are for fun and to show others if you are a newbie to the boards or a veteran. Someone with a First Lietenant Rank might have more weight to their post than a Corporal (unless they're a spammer, but anyone who just spams and doesn't contribute some substance to this forum will either get banned or have their post count reduced.)

So learn to live with your Imp rank symbol. Its just for fun.

That's it!!! I quit!!! The forum admin profession is too powerful and needs to be nerfed!! I'm a paying customer and my profession never gets any love, but they just keep adding to the abilities of l33t professions!!!

what about Pirate rank symbols?

you could use a skull with empty mouth of teeth, and the more post you have, the more teeth you get?

For pirates it should be the opposite...the fewer teeth you have, the higher rank you are.

People can request special ranks if they want. Just come up with a symbol idea and rank and PM it to me. I can't say I'll accomidate everyone but I'll try. If you have a special rank it will never change though. It will always be the same.

Though I like the idea of one solid system of rank. That way you can see where you stand with everyone else.

What is a pirate rank anyway? They have no structure. Its just captains and shipmen. I dunno, maybe if you can give me 20-25 pirate ranks I can work with it.

I've made Forum admins Moff rank and myself Grand Moff rank (its good to be king) so guests and newcomers know who to ask if they have problems with the forum.
