I would like to share with the community some of my discoveries in the recent weeks. Mostly about myself; And I hope this can be applied to the community in a productive mannor for us all to reflect on. This is a little bit advice and some personal experience.
When we RP here we bring ourselves to the table more often than not. Our ooc states can strongly reflect our ic ones. In this I would like to urge everyone to communicate more openly with one another. Why do I say this? I myslef have found that I can be a somewhat vague question asker ig. This is on many levels. It applies to story arcs, character development, even just plane old ooc conversations. So, ask yourself if your asking the right questions and reitterate for a more solid responce from your fellow gamers when you don't think you've gotten one.
On that last note I would say don't be afraid to slow down or speed up as you need to ig or ooc. But know yourself enough to step back and ask 'Am I looking at this objectively'? This is a learning experience though and I think it is one that can be difficult for us to heed without learning by making a few mistakes from time to time. I know I've done this myslef.
I think some of us here may come to irritate each other at times or we may even end up in fights. But we deffinately need to try to overcome this as well. Ask why this person irritates us and try and find some sort of middle ground for you both. We all play our characters how 'we' want to; and that isn't what I'm suggesting we change... just try and be more aware of what we can and can not deal with or as we all learned early; Treat others as you would be treated.
So, let me end with a don't be afraid to flex it a little and let's see if we can't gear ourselves toward some more productive RPing. Point A to Point B is only fun to a few... Point A to Point Unnamed let's us all share the spotlight. This helps to stir things up a little too. But in the course of these events don't neglect to resolve any 'hasty' stirring that may happen as well.
((Goes to take care of a few things he should have done much earlier and hopes there is a lesson to be learned here for all of us))

An open ended story line or mantaining the illusion of it goes a long way in keeping people intrested.

There is 100% chance you won't get along with someone if you don't try.
People do change, constantly.
But seriously...
It used to freak my out how much my mood was effected by what was happening to Ekade. While I maintain a healthy separation between game and reality, I also experience a deep level of immerision in some scenes. This is not a bad thing in my opinion. We are here to play, and why not play all out.Our ooc states can strongly reflect our ic ones.

/agree If you are uncertain, clear it up. Don't let confusion persist, it usually messes something up further down the road.On that last note I would say don't be afraid to slow down or speed up as you need to ig or ooc.
I irritate people all the time. Maybe I should heed your advice and ask why.I think some of us here may come to irritate each other at times or we may even end up in fights. Yes. Sometimes I think we lose focus on why we are here.. to Roleplay and have fun.So, let me end with a don't be afraid to flex it a little and let's see if we can't gear ourselves toward some more productive RPing.
