If you're using Firefox with the greasemonkey plugin you can now ignore specific users on phpBB forums.
Here is the greasemonkey script:

Did Jabe post something in here? I've been running this really cool script called GreaseMonkey, and since I added him to the list a couple weeks back, I have no idea if he's posting here or not.

Hmm wouldnt know, I did the same for testing purposes and now it seems like he never posts anymore ahh well.
