Role? What does this mean exactly? This is the first time I heard about this. Is this so a person, say like a doctor-type, can make themselves easily identifiable and noticable?

Yep..this way, when you're in a group you know what you have with you. Each person can set their role depending on what skills they have. Zannon, for instance, can choose from Ranged, Advanced ranged, crowd control, and utility.
