Can't say I have honestly done much in-depth with the expansion this morning. The loot is very cool thus far and the creatures are neat even though I can't find any mission terminals and have yet to find anything that I can actually get XP on. There are insvisible walls to force your character down the paths and you can't call your speeder in most areas. I like all the new things they have done in this respect, depsite the fact that the envioronment changes are suspiciously inspired by a competing game.

There appear to be TONS of quests and the new loot is absolutely crazy, it will take me a lot of time just to figure out what I can do with the loot I got in the first 5 minutes of playing.

Along the lines of not calling your speeder, you don't really need it. There appear to be TONS of quests and the new loot is absolutely crazy. However... I am a bit stunned that the new "planet" is about the size of Theed. I first noticed this as I looked at the map as I was running and saw my character moving across its faster than a speeder moves across maps on other planets. Its rather small, but at the same time you can't use a speeder and the trails restrict you to following paths and not just going anywhere.

I dunno, kinda surprised at that. Hopefully all the other aspects make up for it. Half the length of the planet can be covered in 60 seconds on foot. I have yet to explore most of it other than gauging its size.

Once again... I am totally wrong. There are zones that connect to the initial small map, they each have 6 instances that you can select from. The zone I am in IS the size of a planet - its a totally new map.

This could take LONG time to walk across...

I was really digging the expansion until I was zipped to another plane of existance when I went into a cave in the Dead Forest....damnit.

Still there after logging in and out about five times. But other than that, it's really nifty. :nod: I wish the animals were tameable... especially the moufs. They're fricking cool looking bear/hippo things..

Yeah... sorry Krusshyk. The initial map to Kashyyyk is just an exploratory hub to larger, instanced zones. Actually its just the main city and surrounding forests. When you approach a gate, you can select from 6 instances of that zone and it will tell you the population level so you can avoid camping. When you go, you are on an entirely new map where trail guides help transport you to various "deeper" trails on that map. The farther you go the harder it gets.

The scenery is incredible in the zone I went to. I felt so far away from anything familiar there - it was like I took my toon to another game. So far so good!

Oh and one word of advice: DO NOT ride your speeder here, even if its allowed. You WILL get knocked off and it will get promptly destroyed by Wookiee freedom fighters. Ride your new mount, but even that may have trouble surviving here (mine got nearly killed).

re-skins of current SWG creatures? or are their completely new ones in shape, size, skin etc...

Only new ones I've seen are moufs and Kash banthas.. neither tameable but very cool looking. Kash Banthas will probably be mountable later.. I hope.

I'll pay top dollar if anyone loots some weapon schematics, especially a proton carbine.

Yes but how do you get there?? I don't see the new planet on the galactic travel map.

And for some reason I did not get my pre order reward, the veractyl thing, on this character. But Id rather have the vehicle

YOu can only get the Kasshyyk by launching into space and hypering there.

I thought the new speeder bike wasn't a giveaway, just a new bike that could be made

Is RoW in stores now? Or is it only DL from the web?...

I think it comes out later this month - 20somethingish... (I've heard 26th, but I'm not sure.). Could be wrong though.
