that we can't even hear "Louie Louie" in public? a song from the 1950's??
http://story.news.yahoo.com/s/ap/no_louie_louie
the backlash from the "wardrobe malfunction" has got to end sometime...this is getting ridiculous...
Have we really come this far?
Typical. ONE parent called and complained about it.
Next thing you know, Texas will ban "suggestive high school cheerleader dances."
Oh, wait. They already did.

I mean, C'MON, you can't even understand half the words to the song anyway, lol

The irony here is that there won't even be any words. It's played by the marching band, and the kids don't even know the words to it.Skorixor wrote:I mean, C'MON, you can't even understand half the words to the song anyway, lol

Have you READ the lyrics to that song?
I never knew that the lyrics were anything aside from louie louie, I almost never hear anything aside from the instrumental versions.
The original Louie Louie lyrics are actually unintelligeable. My extensive research shows that well... no one can really agree on it.
Snopes says they aren't dirty for what it's worth though.

If you read futher down in the article?
So the parent, who thought they may have heard that the lirics could may heve been obscene but isn't really quite sure and can't actually point out the actualy lirics had the song banned. The FBI spent two years investigating the lyrics before declaring they not only were not obscene but also were "unintelligible at any speed."
