The Rebirth!
What most of you probably figured out was what we really mean is a brand new site re-launch. Taking a little from the old and a lot from the new comes the next generation of our site. Most of all, we're happy to say this is a full-functioning site with out broken links this time around.
Though keep one thing in mind, this is only the beginning. For starters over the next 4 days or so we are going to continue to add new content. Our developers need time to make sure everything is working properly live so we can't just push it all out there at once. Also, even after this re-launch expect new content as often as we can bang it out.
So here is list of new features we hope you enjoy from Project Rebirth: Phase I.
Site content:
- An improved design making page loads faster and updates easier.
- An updated homepage with listings of upcoming social events, updates on new site features, and a live news feed direct from SOE.
- Introducing the CDRD (Character Development Resource Database) to help players learn and develop their characters. More will be added to this section in the near future so expect even more useful and interesting information.
- A media gallery including humorous and event-related screenshots from the game along with player films and more!
- A fun & games section for ... well... guess!
- Other content including ways to contact us, a mission statement, links to us, and information on the SWG Tales team.
Forum content:
- New Star Wars Smilies (which you may already have noticed)
- A New avatar gallery with more avatars on the way (see the "Show Gallery" link in your profile to view them)
- A "Work-safe" theme option for those who view the site at their workplace but need to be a little more discreet.
Remember folks this is just Phase I. More content is on its way and trust me when I say we are very excited to bring it to you. Please let us know any and all feedback that you may have.
