R2D2, hands down.
I mean seriously - what a bad ass mother-fux0r. Come on folks lets hear the love. How many Jedi can one droid save?

The way he took down the two Super Battle Droids was inspired. Beautiful. It was one of the few times that I clapped loudly during the movie.

R2 is and always has been "my boy."
Indeed, the way he takes down other droids when he has no real means of attack is inspired.
And yes, the loud comlink shit with him trying to hide in the corner had me lolling.
Also, (from another thread), Krussh, if you think R2 was never comic relief in the other three movies, I implore you to seek out (as just one example) the scene on Jabba's Barge:
3PO (incredulous, surprised to find R2): R2, what are you doing here?!?!
R2 (with tray of drinks on his head): Bee boop boo weeeoooh.
3PO: I can SEE you're serving DRINKS.
He is the OG comedy MASTER.

I see what your saying X'an...
But it wasn't the same in this movie. In the original trilogy, it's just him being a wise ass. He has personality quirks that are kind of humorous to someone watching. It doesn't seem like it was put there for the sake of comedy...just as personality development for the droid.
Him shooting oil in the face of a battle droid? Come on...that is like 3 stooges slapstick...R2 was not slapstick. Sorry, I still don't buy it.
