From some recent press and interviews with actress and ILM Production Assistant Amy Allen, the character she portrayed, Jedi Knight Aayla Secura was potentially on tap to be a main character in the upcoming Star Wars live action TV series. It wasn't a sure thing according to her, but a possibility she "hoped George would give her a call for" (her words).
But from the "Order 66" Jedi backstab scenes, Aayla Secura gets the ol' photonic massage from a squad of Clone Troopers.
Maybe she survives somehow (since we don't really see her dead body) or she's not going to be in the show. Anyone have any info, ideas?
Aayla Secura, Dead?
Putting yourself in a trance state that mimics death is a trick that Jedi in the EU have been practicing in comics and books for awhile now. Who knows--maybe this is used, even though we know movies are king.

The serries could also be based on pre Episode 3 period or she could have melded herselve into the force like Obi-Wan and Yoda and comes back to the lad of the living to train some one who is force sensitive. I dont think it would be the prior because I've heard the serries will be set after RotJ.

if you guys listen to the interview i posted in the jibjab forums, GL says the tv series will cover lesser known characters and their stories during the clones wars, therefore the jedi wouldn't even be dead yet

I don't think George really 'knows' what he's doing with the series yet. Interviews by him in magazines like 'Premiere' have that series as slated to take place 'after' Return of the Jedi. However, there 'are' other sources that say during the Clone Wars, etc, etc.
Maybe like with what some of the Trek fans were wanting for so long with Star Trek; The series could have a 'random' Outer Limits theme where it just covers stories from points all over the Star Wars Timeline.
And, indeed, our twi'lek Jedi beauty might not necessarilly be dead. And, if she is, we have the blue glowie thing to work with too.

Not to mention the 100 other times she was shot in the back and the side before the scene changes :PSeret Sajet wrote:That Jedi trance thingie handy against getting shot point blank while laying face down on the ground? I gots ta learn me dat der trick!

Either way you slice it, she died in that scene.
If the TV series takes place before then, so be it, she might be in it.
If it takes place AFTER she dies, so be it, but she won't be in it, even as a blue glowy.
If you recall, Yoda informs Obi-Wan that Qui-Gon has "discovered the secret to immortality." Meaning nobody else knows how to do it yet, or at least no Jedi from the current administration. Maybe one did from the Old Republic days, who knows, but current generation? No one except for Qui-Gon.

well x'an, I was thinking about mentioning that too, but when did Anakin pick it up, since he made an appearance after Luke burned his body... That scene made me second guess it.

the dark side is mysterious
also remember, though I hate to bring the EU into this, that palp when he died was so in tune with the force that he cheated death by eventually finding his stack of hidden clones and be reborn

Anakin IS the strongest Jedi in the galaxy. If Qui-Gon could figure it out, so could he (as Qui-Gon figured it out after death). Granted, short turn-around time to learn it, but I just chalk it up to awesome power over the Force + bad continuity writing.warsloth wrote:well x'an, I was thinking about mentioning that too, but when did Anakin pick it up, since he made an appearance after Luke burned his body... I have to admit that this was one of the lamest things ever written in the Star Wars EU. There was a lot about Dark Forces or whatever it was called that I liked, but the young "I can just keep on re-cloning!" Emporer was extra lame with lame sauce. If there's ever a 3rd trilogy, I'd count on this being one of the first things thrown out the window.Skorixor wrote:also remember, though I hate to bring the EU into this, that palp when he died was so in tune with the force that he cheated death by eventually finding his stack of hidden clones and be reborn

yeah but jar jar is the lamest of lame and he keeps popping up like a bad rash, but I do thank lucas for having him not say a word in this last movie, although jarjar dying woulda been nicerX'an Shin wrote: I have to admit that this was one of the lamest things ever written in the Star Wars EU. Mace Windu is alive. Since when has falling from a great height ever killed a Jedi? He wasn't even unconcious when he fell.Lok'i Vidaar wrote:Not to mention the 100 other times she was shot in the back and the side before the scene changes :PSeret Sajet wrote:That Jedi trance thingie handy against getting shot point blank while laying face down on the ground? Kit & Voss? mearly a flesh wound. Vader had 3 limbs cut off and was set on fire.
Aayla Secura? Jedi mind trick to make the clone troopers think the rock next to her is her...
It Lucas wants it, it will happen and not even being consistant with his own storyline will stop him.
