I vote for Padme's ship that she flew to Mustafar. It was as sleek as all the Nabooian starships with the art deco/Flash Gordon touch.

It was just pimpin'. Something I could see Lando Calrissian stepping off of (or Keer Tregga with a big ol' payimp hat feather tucked under one lekku).

every single one of amidala's ships rock, because they are chrome, and they all are versions of actual classic aircraft

neither actually

Gen. Greivous' "unicycle" was another favorite. The vehicle he used in the chase with Kenobi had something very "outlaw" about it.

I felt like the ship Obi flew to the blockade runner was modelled after a p-40 Warhawk, due to the cowling shapes. but it did have two pylon thingies, so who knows. I have seen the aircraft padme's mustafar ship resembles, but I cant think of the name. It kinda reminds me of that sporter plane with the forward swept canard/landing gear.

now that you mention it the naboo fighter reminds me more of the ME262 crossed with the Komet. But that could be said about all the naboo craft.

I was just talking about padme's ships, all the chrome ones, but yes some other ships take some cues from real life aircraft...in fact, if you looks at senator organa's red cruiser in ROTS, and take a look at the front grill, you'll notice a very familiar symbol from automotive history...


as far as padme's ships and what they resemble, I'd have to do a little research...gimme a few mins

Obi-Wan's varactyl was slick too. Wish it had bitten someone/thing, though. Kind of combination ATV & Weapon, like the beast mounts of the Orcs in LotR: Two Towers.

Obi-Wan jumps off the saddle like he does from the Jedi Fighter and slashes some Droid Troops while Varactyl chomps and tail swipes another squad...Obi-Wans jumps back on.
