Little slow there bud, that's been up for weeks....

Well i am gonna thank you for the link..i hadnt seen it and what i thoght was great is that they added the ortho views for them.

THis means that if i ever want to take a stab at modeling one in 3d..i got the ortho's right here (even thou im sure i could find them on the net with lil problem. But the more referencese, the better).

Yea, im big in 3d modeling..well sorta a novice right now..but it might be what i wanna do as my profession..not sure yet.

B-Wing? What a big fat heavy target you make! Sure, firepower, I admit but thinking back...how many B-wings do you see after the battle over Endor?

Only playing! But Jinx is going to be all about the X-Wing.

I know they've pretty much pissed all over continuity, but the B-Wing isn't suppose to be around at this point (yes, I know there is a mission in game about a prototype one, but that's breaking the timeline as well).

The B-wing had both the fire power and the defense. You could take a hell of a beating in a B-wing. More fire power and defense than a Y-wing, with a speed varying between as fast as if not faster than an X-wing.

But screw all that. Give me the TIE Deffender any day.

No, I've flown the B-Wing and the X-Wing is a faster fighter to be sure. But you are SO right about the TIE Defender -- that is a dreamboat.

Eh, it depends. You dump all shield and laser energy into engines then the B-wing is faster than the X-wing doing the same. But if you REALLY want some good speed, take something like a tractor beam, then dump all the energy into that to the engines but keep the sheilds and lasers up. Engines actually go faster that way.

I'm just taking this moment to weep because I'll have to fly a TIE instead of some multiple area Imperial Shuttle.

I feel your pain. Closest thing we're going to get is the Luxary yact. I'll be using that in abundance after everyone has their frieghter and fighter. Figure they'll be rare to find after about a month or two after the expan pack.

Well I never heard of that tractorbeam trick--pretty interesting. As to the first bit, if you have to drop power going to your shields and lose your lasers and ion guns just to outrun an X-wing that's not my idea of superiority though I hear what you're saying. Nonetheless, an X-wing will outmaneuver and outdistance a B-wing. The B-wing is more effective at its primary task: large ship assault because nothing is as heavily armed. Ackbar be praised.

The B-Wing is a replacement for the Wishbones (Y-wing) as Heavy Bombers and as such aren't comparable to normal fighter classes. Designed by Admiral Ackbar a good while after the first Death Star was blown to smithereens at Yavin and barely in service for the Endor battle. Reason why you see few. They were made to assault capitol ships and ground targets, under escort but tough enough to take a beating in and out and even hold their own against a normal Eyeball (TIE) squadron. You don't pitch bombers against fighters unless its a desperate situation, logically

Of course, there is no way of knowing if Sony actually stick to the descriptions given in the expanded universe.

Well, I guess I can hope that people will all be using TIEs and what not leaving me being the only person using the yacht or whatever else I start out with.
