Expanded Universe Love (Another "Favorite" Thread)

Giving the Expanded Universe it's due credit as source of some good stories and characters, who would you liked to have seen in a movie or just think is an outstanding character in their respective EU book, cartoon, etc.? A character who has not been portrayed in a movie so far.

From The Han Solo Adventures trilogy of 1980-81 (specifically Han Solo's Revenge and Han Solo and the Lost Legacy). This, is the best Expanded Universe series of books that I've read.

A little excerpt on Gallandro:

....Gallandro gravitated from world to world, seeking out more violence. He earned the death mark on over a hundred worlds. He worked as a mercenary, a bodyguard, and a bounty hunter. He hijacked the luxury liner Quamar Messenger on its maiden voyage. He single-handedly took over the pirate-infested world of Geedon V. He holds a record for starfighter kills while flying for Marso's Demons. He even forced the Assassin's Guild to default on a contract after killing half of its Elite Circle.

I'd love to see Anakin Solo in a movie. Although I really liked Gallandro as well. I'd love to see the story where he beats Solo in a duel, of course Solo lived but would be nice to see a main get wounded.

Well we did see Anakin get his ass kicked, Luke lost a hand and was beat up by a wompa,leia got shot....ohh and god knows how many times R2D2 listened to C3p0 and went into the wrong socket on a terminal.

She gets stunned by Stormtroopers in A New Hope, and gets shot in the arm by a very real and very painful blaster bolt from a Stormtrooper in Jedi on the Endor moon.

R2 gets shot by a Jawa Ion Cannon.

3PO gets blasted by god knows what behind the scenes in Bespin.

Uncle Owen? Aunt Beru? I guess on fire and charred flesh doesn't count?

Owen and Beru aren't exactly main's and R2 and 3PO getting shot is comic relief. Leia's were only flesh wounds.

I'd also like to see Han win the Falcon from Lando that would make a movie.

Au contraire, mon frere. In the final showdown between the two, both are healthy and whole, Gallandro tells Han, "Call the play." {Read: "Ah'm yo-uh huckleberr-eh." :lol: }

In this scene, Han does draw first, but it doesn't matter. Gallandro was so much faster that he still put two bolts into Han before Han could get his blaster level.

He's no slouch, but in Han's own words about Gallandro: "This guy really moves. I couldn't even match his practice draw."

R2 also gets shot by Vader in ANH (during the trench run) and he gets shot by a Stormtrooper in RotJ...both hits blew him up pretty damn well.

And as for R2 not being a main character...He saves the day at least once per movie, I'd say that makes him a pretty important MAIN character.

Alright if I could see an episode 7 it would have Mara Jade and Luke Skywalker.

It would show how the two come to love each other. I would also throw in Grand Admrial Thrawn because he is the badass of the empire after Vader dies. I would not throw in Caboth because he is not needed. But I would have lukes entire Jedi academy.

And for the coolest of the Jedi I would have Kyle Katarn because he is the Badass of the Jedi. I would throw in the Solo twins along with Anakin just for to pleas the crowd.

I was only saying Owen and Beru were not main characters. R2 being shot was comic relief.

Her being shot only counted if it influenced the out come of her love triangle, which it didn't because Luke was her brother negating her triangle.
