The Next Expansion

I know ROTW hasn't even been out a month yet and already I'm bringing up the next expansion.

Just curious what you would like to see.

They could call it "The Imperial Expansion", with Hoth, Dagobah, and Bespin as places to visit, and the Kessel run as an actual space course for competition. And lets add a huge asteriod field as well for you to fly through or actually land or in.

Three planets I want to see.

Dagobah

Hoth

Caurasuant.

Simple.

Dagobah would be easly a great place for high level NPC's.

Hoth would be a great place for hunting and such with where you are required to go inside at night or elles you die from the cold or you have to use some sort of new vehical like a Snow speeder.

Caurasuant would replace coronet in comerce and dealings where you could rent apartments and mabey even work secret dealings with the fringe like Xizor or the Hutts.

Also for the longest time I have always wanted two things more then any quest or planet is this.

and

DUEL WEILD DUEL WEILD DUEL WEILD

That is all I would like to see. Other then that I am good.

Hoth would be nice. If I could get my hands on a set of snow trooper armor, I would be wearin' it 24-7.

Plus, Taun Tauns and wampas. Booya.

personally I hope they never add Dagobah, Luke was the only person that ever travelled there during the movies, so I don't want to see this place flooded, and it would be. I think it's just better left out.

Hoth could be interesting, maybe just have 1 starport like Lok. Only problem is there's hardly any life or creatures on the planet, making it pretty boring.

I'd like to see Bespin though, Cloud city would be great. I'd like to see Sullust, or some other more core world, not Coroscant because it would be a lag fest, but something closer to Corellia.

What I'd really like to see are Capital Ships added as space player bases. You could dock your ship with the capital ship to gain entrance, getting one would be a difficult quest or something like a complete sent of Mandalorian armor or something. Then players can man the turrets inside the base for defense, and the raiders would have to disable the ship, Dock with it and send in a raiding party and then it would be like normal base raids.

I'd also like to see the ships get a move limit. Maybe 1 jump per 48 hours or something to change systems. And it would consume resources like the other faction bases. I think this would draw more pilots into faction pilots instead of all the neutral pilots we see today.

I would like to see Space get some love. SW is very much a space adventure.

I like what you guys have said about capital ships. It would be fantastic to have some enhancements to the GCW in space. It would be neat of your actions is space had some sort of impact on the galaxy.. much like they are trying to do with the ground game.

The smugglers alliance needs to considered in the above as well.


It would be nice to have some more instances, quests, and content as well. That and te usual new items and knick-knacks they throw in with the expansions.


And of course I would like to see some entertainer love.

Well lets think about that for a moment though. People like Rogue squadren always would do attack and faids where you jump from hyper hit them hard and jump again. I can see mabey a five minute recharge but nothing more then that. We have to consider that people may not have time to buy resources to keep your ship alive like that. I use hyper all the time to go to Kashyyyk alone for quest's and such. I could not see actualy not being to jump when I feel like it.

I would agree however on Capital ships. I think everyone should get some type. I think a guild should be able to own one. Imps were not the only ones who had star destroyers. I remember reading a book that had a smuggler who had one.

Anyhow smugglers should not be left out because us freelancers are the blood to both reb and imps. Without us you would have it alot worse of.

-Duel Wielding for Pistols, Swords, and fist weapons.

-Weapon Holsters. These would look awesome, to say the least

-Coroscant. This could be made just like Kushyyyk. Each level in Coroscant could be an instance, just like what they did in Kushyyyk.

-Hoth. This could also be done just like Kushyyyk. Invisible walls, Instance areas, and so on.

Well I never said regular ships couldn't enter hyperspace whenever they wanted, there's no need to change that. But a Capital Ship shouldn't be able to jump at any time, it would make it to easy to keep them alive and flood the galaxy with them, and they would need to be rare. So squadrons could easily do hit and runs on the capital ships and take off.

The heavy resource burden only makes sense, it should take a large number of people to be able to upkeep something of that size. Here again you add another complexity making it harder to keep these around, I mean you don't want to see 50 of these things in every system. So it should be a large under taking.

And the capital ships could vary, I mean for the rebellion you could have

Calamri Crusiers (main capital ship, and most expensive to get maintain, high maint because they're hard to repair)

Nebulan B Frigates (Medium)

Corellian Corevette (Small)

Imperials:

Imperial Class Star Destoryer

Victory Class Star Destroyer

Imperial Drednaugh

Not really familiar with any civilian class capital ships but I'm sure they could think of something.

Well, I'd like to see the next expansion deal with adding the "Underworld" faction to the game. In my eyes, the main features would be:

1. Smuggling added to game in space and on the ground done through NPC missions.

2. YT1100, YT2200, Lambda Shuttle, and Rebel Transport added to game as multi-crewed ships.

3. NPC casino added as a new underworld theme park, preferably on Tatooine.

4. Player casinos added to game for master smugglers - game tables become craftable and interfaces made more intersting, smuggler casino owner can alter odds on each game in casino.

5. Coruscant and Bespin added to game as new underworld adventure planets (Coruscant would get additional Imperial content and Bespin would get Rebel content). These would be instanced like Kashyyyk.

6. Both NPC casino and the two new adventure planets would have some entertainer-only content that was specific to the "underworld" faction.

7. Imperial and Rebel faction missions new to this expansion would involve infiltrating the different underworld factions to gain info, kill key figures, steal resources, and negotiate minor alliances.

Ahhh...I really need a job at SOE...I have so many ideas.

yeah the inhabitants are yoda, and ummmmmm, no one else, so much so that all reports have it as uninhabited...let's leave it...there's many other worlds

lands and the base that's still supposed to be hidden...looks out main doors and sees.................snow..............snow................snow..................more snow.................snow...............flurries.............snow

coruscant could be instanced like kash, that's doable

Bespin would be good

almost any world from the prequels

Ithorian or mon cal home worlds?

dual wield will never happen, especially with the combat balance making everyone virtually equal...no way they'll let pistoleers get double dmg, unless they cut your pistol dmg in half...besides how many elite chars in the movies dual wielded? one

hyperspace every 48 hrs???IG or IRL it is lame...star destroyers would rejump quite often, not to mention if you really look at the navigation they did to get around, it almost never was a straight jump from one place to another...it was jump here, then jump here, then jump here, then here we are

resource burden for big ships?? hell no...do yo uknow how many resources it takes just to go into a yt1300? 150k resources...and they better be decent resources or that yt1300 will suck....there's your upkeep, paid in advance as far as I'm concerned...imagine what a small cap ship would take?

I'd like to see a few things added. First off a few planets

1)Tralus (I think thats how it's spelt)--the sister planet to Talus

2)Bespin--Instances zone planet

3)Coruscant--Another instances zone planet

4)Mon Cal--The Mon Calamari home world. This planet Id like to see them add underwater stuff like creatures and some of the cities that are under there. I remember back in the day when the game first lanched me and a small group where making our way out to the Rouge Corsec base on Corellia on that island in the East and none of us knew if there where water creatures in the game. That had to be one of the most tention fill moments in the game wondering if some thing was gona come up from under us and have a snack.

I'd also like to see some content added.

1) Faction. I'd like there to be a point in having 5000 Corsec and -5000 Hutt besides having one NPC of one faction never attack me and the other always attack me.

2) Blind jumps--I'd like to see a buton added to the the hyerspace widow called blind jump. Hitting this buton throws you into Hyperspace imediatly but you dont know where you will end up and if you've damaged any of your systems forcing you into Hyperspace. One of the possible places you'd land is deep space. It would be devoid of any thing and if you blow out your hyperdrive you'd have to call for a pick up that would cost you creds and it would that like 5 minutes for the retrival team to show up. This would give you an out in those desperate space fights and ever time you do it you'd be sweatin where you'll jump to. Is it gona be in a system or deep space? Is it gona be in a low thread area of a system or did I just jump from the frying pan into the fire? Is my ship gona still be working when I revert back to real space?

This place could look specatular if they did it right. The underground tunnels and caverns would fit the instance concept nicely.

(( Actually Ryloth would probably look nicer with the WoW engine. Think Marudon, Blackfathom Deeps, or Sunken Temple.. maybe even a little Uldaman. ))

After reading the game material; I'd like to see Ryloth too. In fact, I think they should add the home planet of each player species to the game to be honest. This would deffinately give every player a chance to do character immersion with their own races.

As far as space... capital ship combat; walkng around inside them. Ship captures and escape scenarios. Being able to walk on the hull in a space suit and blast at enemy fighters if your gutsy enough to do it... the 'Wow' factor that made the bizzare moments in Star Wars so enticing.

Roche Astroid field with a 'creation of the B-wing' scenario just as a static mission you can run.

Hoth as a PvP battlefield for the Factions till they improve upon the GCW.

Jaminos brings up a good thing too... Apartments for rent 'in' non-player cities like they do in EQ. And, of course, duel wielding of weapons has yet to come into play. And holsters/slings for our rifles and pistols.

There is soooo much potential left for them to use. :-D

I almost forgot... did everyone hear? Sounds like we're finally going to be able to tote around passengers in our speeders and we're getting new ones.
