More pre-prequels? Lucas may not totally be involved(he's said as such) but I think this would be entertaining =)

I think that quote sums up what we all believe to be a near cinch. If we all live to be old and gray and never saw another original SW movie, I'd die baffled.

And I'd love to see the "old" Old Republic as well with the Sith Empire in full effect against the Republic. Many tales to be told there.

I've often said my depiction of The Clone Wars would have been much more entertaining:

Braveheart style shots of the raging battle between the Jedi army and the Sith army, and then you hear a Grover giggle, and a green lightsaber appears in the shot, and starts cutting everyone down. All the Sith just start grabbing their knees.

Another part that I'd like to see is the events mentioned in the opening crawl of Episode 4.

"Striking from a hidden base, the Rebel Alliance has scored it's first victory against the Galactic Empire..."

Something like that. What was this victory? Who participated in it? I remember EU sources somewhere suggesting that Luke's buddy Biggs may have been a participant.

Biggs, Porkins, and a couple other guys (Oeree Obate ) were already Rebel heroes when Luke was just dreaming of his chance. What battles made them famous?

And how hard was it for Mon Mothma, Bail Organa, and others to pull together the Rebellion into a cohesive force under one banner?

What forces inside the Empire did the Emperor have to contend with even though he was the boss? Were there more purges inside the Empire? How many times did Death Squad Commandos make "inspirational visits" to this monarch or that CEO?

HBO cable miniseries, please. No commercials, 10-12 total episodes like The Sopranos, so the story stays tight.

Stories by the score, dreams fly, portray wars, seal the blast doors, diehard fans demand more!!

I don't know about you guys, but Episode III cured my need to see and immerse myself in Star Wars for a very long time. Honestly, I'd rather not see anything new for quite a while. I don't know how shocked or amazed I could feel about another movie filled with glorious light saber battles and billions of lasers everywhere, because as of May 19th its been done.

I guess my feeling is, is that a new Star Wars movie is going to have to stand on its own and not come off as a backgrounder for another film. Its gotta have a story, unlike Episode III which was a bridge for 5 other films. I'm going to have to like the writing a LOT to swallow more Star Wars movies.

I have to say that I agree with Jotun. Star Wars is pretty much a cash cow for Lucas. Anything that has a chance to make money with it just fattens his pockets.
I doubt its the end.
