That looks like the specs for the troopers in Republic Commando, which is set before the Stormtroopers, between Episodes II and II I believe. They look cool.

Looks cool, but now I'm wondering where all of this superior technology went between Eps III and IV.

Are they going to explain how stuff got worse?

Nice. But, they look rather bulky and difficult to move in. More of what I'd expect of a Dark Trooper really. Empire probly discontinued their use in favor of the less bulky ST armor, saving the heavy stuff like that for the space suits/elite ST units me thinks.

As far as how things got worse, they're really going to have to do some explaining with that one. I remember when I first saw the Naboo Starfighter and thought "This is better than X-Wings and TIE fighters. He does realize he's doing prequels, right?"

Well, with the naboo star fighters, you have to remember they were designed more for their look than combat efficency. Other than the BS of the original rouge squadron, a X-wing or TIE would take one of those POSes down in no time.

No joy here on the cut & paste either. Can someone put the picture in a post?

Yeah, but the Naboo Fighters definately seemed to handle well.

Over the first two movies, I had always been trying to figure out how they got from Point A to Point B. The technology is one thing that I just can't figure. Droids, Clones, all of that can be explained away but the tech just can't.
