I have already done this quest where you have to beat the arena champion...there are 2 routes to take, but there is a way to go BOTH routes

I'll spare the other details of how to accomplish this buggy mess, but when you finally start fighting the wookiee, you beat him down half way, then he quits...then you must decide? does he live or die

if you let him LIVE, you get the champion sword and the arena champion badge

if you KILL him, no badge, and you become an outcast...this then unlocks the outcast missions where you can eventually get the sweet-ass ld-1 rifle

you can take three ppl in with you, but if you take one other person who has already done it, and you let the wookiee LIVE, then the other person can kill the wookiee and then be outcast, thus getting the ld-1 rifle

I'll even PAY you to take me along

So you can take both paths, interesting.

you start by going to the kkhowir forest

go to kerritamba on the left (use poi)

talk to the chief (on the right as you enter the camp)

you will do a series of quests before you can fight the champion

then when you get to that part, you have to take the champion down a certain way or is guartanteed to bug and you will be stuck with nothing

I look forward to actually getting out to Kashyyk and doing a quest

nothing more than i mentioned...anyone can get into kkhowir forest

Skor I've just opened the arean portion of the quest let me know what time you'll be on and we can do it today soon as you can get there. Let me know here and send a pm to be sure I get what time you'll be on. If any healer wants to join the two of us let me or Skor know (assuming he takes me up on the offer).

Keer, Danwe, and myself tried this just about an hour ago. First, the mission bugged, and when we defeted everything, the wookiee hero ketp attacking us, not allowing us to talk to him. Then, when we finall got him to calm the hell down, Keer talked to him about letting him live, and i was going to kill him. Well, only a split second later, and the wookiee vanishes, without any time to say i want to kill him... So, I believe there goes my chance at the LD-1 rifle. I suggest if anyone would rather have a badass rifle over furniture, KILL THE wookiee. If not... spare him, because i dobut this is really do-able.

Actually what Wiartu the Wookiee Champ said was:

"Keer, if you strike me down I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine!"

So, you know, I kinda got shook!

But seriously, it really was a split second too. As *soon* as I hit "[spare his life] he poofed like Obi-Wan in Episode 4. I mean, before my finger released the pressure from the mouse clickspring he was gone!

...along with the dreams of the LD-1 Rifle for Oeree.

And I have to say that we gambled on what really was/is an exploit in the firstplace. Whether it's fixed now or not, I don't know, but if I had to do it all over again, I'd choose to kill the champion if you want the LD-1 Rifle.

Either SOE fixed the exploit or it's possible stilll to bring off like originally suggested, but just so quirky that it's a lottery win if you get it right. I'm not saying it's impossible for everyone just because we couldn't get it, but if that wookiee disappears as fast as he did for us....I don't know.

Hey I had the same bug happen to me and after waiting nearly half an hour me and the two people I took along left the arena. I went back and got the mission again for the cheiftan and went into the arena but one of the 2 that came along was allowed back in so I came back out to take it again but the chieftan just tells me to talk to the wookiee in the arena and the doorwookie wouldn't let me back in so I'm essentially stuck from even geting a choice. Any one know a way around this? I realize this is a futiel attempt to geting around this bug but no harm in asking.
