my first pc jedi bounty

he should have been an easy mark, just a 98k bounty

yet I got beat pretty easily because he would heal himself too fast...I'd knock him down to 1/4 health, and then POOF he'd be back at full strength

we had a good time at it and was friendly with the whole thing, and I know what I could have done better in the fight, but there must be a way to prevent them from healing so easily...

try using startle shot from rifleman . It delays action. may delay healing from jedi I know it delays me when i try to heal. although I'm not a jedi

I knew there was a reasoning behind the MR MBH pairing. ::Grins:: I almost wish I'd taken the the Combat Medic 0400 line. Hmmmm...

You are much better off taking the 120k bounties are much more survivable in my experience. Mainly because they are stuck at half jedi and half normal skills and are not nearly as potent as a knight or an initiate.

Another thing you have to do is deal out more damage at one time then they can heal. Also, (not speaking directly on this) make sure you use some common sence smarts when tracking your mark. If their in the wilds, use the surrounding agro to your benifit. If their in a player city, there more then likley in a house, cantina or guild hall.

Bomb droids now work and do around 16-1800 damage for 53 strength models. Pull use it to open up on one with, because it shouldnt take you more then 3-4 shots max after that kind of damage to incap a player.

Ruby Beliel has also be nerfed, so you have to be smart about your stims now.

Anyhow, just some tips for ya :)

I consider myself a very good BH at this point. (Though I am considering dropping it... Due to lack of skills in PvE and PvP non-jedi) But this is only cause jedi keep telling me I am... Anyhoo.

Rumour has it, the heal is getting seriously tweaked. So we can only hope this is accurate. I myself, hate the fact that I can bring a guy to 10 HP and BAM! Full health... Very frustrating, especially when I get so tired so easily.

Force Aura- This ability is literally the shiznit. If anything, I suggest rooting the guy and waiting for it to time out, or knock him down and avoid him. Try not to show how much damage you can do, the cocky jedi will allow the aura to drop thinking you are not a threat... That's when you release the pain.

I'd also like to suggest, being an honorless prick. Watch the guy, observe his movements, wait for him to be at a star port getting his ship or a mission terminal. You can get off a good 4 attacks before he even realizes what's going on. Using a sword... I call this my ninja approach.
(I once killed a german jedi named Ghoetti using this tactic... If I remember correctly, the tell I recieved was "Icht bein einen kauff den fair play" Or something similiar)

Also, to track bounties a little more easily, you can send out mass seekers. Just keep picking option number two, and just keep sending em one after the other. You'll get an updated waypoint every second if you send like 10. The first time it says "probe droid lost track of target" send another 10. You'll know where your target is no matter where he goes.

Their raising themind cost, lowering the force cost, and giving saber DPS a 25% increase with elemental damage.

Nothing there thats really going to help us honestly.

Yes but everyone will be getting the elemental damage increase to DPS is my understanding not just Jedi.

When hunting take your time, don't just rush into it gun blazing you'll die most times. Your best bet is to hit them at a moment in time that plays in your favor more. Such as in a mob of players, or them in mid duel with another player ( hell 1/2 the time you can wait for the incap and db at your leisure /shrug ). Point is stalking is 1/2 the fun finding out when and where is better then visiting the cloner with each mission, it's all about the payout whos cares bout the rest ...... my 2 cents hopes it helps.

I understood it as elemental damage was only broke for Jedi

Just a comment from a non-BH, non-Jedi, the theme of all the unscrupulous hunting tactics mentioned here really captures the flavor of what I think a Bounty Hunter class should be about. This is some cold-hearted, gritty talk. The kind of stalking and hunting that's really fun.

Congratulations on being able to evoke and play out the essence of what your profession should be all about.

Somewhere over the rainbow I hope I can one, join you in that same claim to fame with my Smuggler and two, even become part of the PvP Bounty dynamic.

Game On.

In a direct PM discussion with the Pistoleer Correspondent, I tried to get a straight answer on elemental damage status regarding all player professions. He gave me the usual:

"The Developers haven't released anything publicly. And if I knew I still couldn't tell you one way or the other until they said something."

Now the only thing I can say is what reason do they have for not just coming out and saying yes or no if ALL Elemental Damage is working or not. It's not like 100 other things aren't under fix. Where's the harm in just saying "Yes, except for Jedi, it works" or "No, it's turned off for every weapon"?

I just assume that it's off and I've shelved all my Elemental weapons until they say for sure. No use in wasting decay on something that I'm not getting full benefit of.

Plus, the fact that specific damage resist info hasn't come back to the target examine window yet makes picking a specific damage weapon selection that much more of a toss up when fighting.

That's one of my favourite things about being a BH. We're encouraged to be fearless and inventive. It can make for some good RP--even with the NPC bounties, as the originator of the bounty often requests you to say something to the mark.

I've only taken two Jedi bounties myself, but I will openly admit I was a major ass when I took them out; I waited until they were most vulnerable (after a duel in this case), and shot them in the back. Sniper Shot can do a lot of damage when it isn't defended against.

That doesnt make you an ass, that shows you know tactics.

On one of my hunts I tracked my mark to aplayer city and drove around a bit till I found a public vendor. I went in and took my helmet off and looked as thought I was browsing the vendor. The jedi came into the vendor mall and also began looking through vendors. I said something about their not being any stim D's, and we started talking for a bit about how things changed. He turned around to walk out the door, and as soon as he did I put my helmet back on and killed him. 150k payout, and he smiled about it.

Anyhow, know your surroundings and study your mark. I've kept missions for up to 3 days to finally catch up to them out of their house fighting Kryats and total targets.
