Episode 2.5: WAR!

Hi all,

To make life in our galaxy a little more interesting DF, xXx, and a few other imperials have declared war on most of the known rebel guilds of Gorath.

Most guilds are leary about entering guild wars because of crafters, entertainers, etc. my guild included. So here's what has happened. My alt has created a guild called Red Tide so people who wish to participate may leave their guilds temporarily to join RT and join in on the war fun. We are currently at war with DF only, but I am trying to get some more imperials to war against to add some variety and get some more involvement. Anyone that wishes to join please email Hammar in game and I'll send you the guildhall waypoint. Please talk it over with your guild and make sure they make an announcement so people know you are only temporarily leaving so people don't freak out about the so-and-so has left the guild emails hehe.

I've been keeping up with things over there just to see how they pan out. At first I was extremely skeptical because of the maturity lvl of people in some of the warring guilds. So far though its looking to actually be fun. there has also been mention of RP scenarios, and that is definately a step in the right direction.

If your a GCW type of guild, I would definately give you a thumbs up to get in on the action.

I know what you mean about maturity levels lol. It does seem tho that everyone for the most part is keeping it pretty civil and just having a good time. There is less clone camping that I would expect considering the sheer numbers involved and there are people playing out their own RP scenarios too! It really is what you make it and thus far everyone is having a great time.

Whether anyone decides to join us or not, just a general FYI - remember to clone and insure! ;)

Yeah I need to talk to Griggs about getting my mercenaries involved in this. The good thing is that were hire-outs...not really faction related.

100k per merc per mission.

Thats for standard bounty hunting and spec-ops.

we will war long enough to do a job, then peace. This way we can profit from both sides.

The more complicated the mission, the more the price goes up.

The MERCS that are faction alligned wont be declaird since we are mercenaries and not fighting for a specific faction. That keeps up the realisticness of being hired soldiers.

Non-declaired cant enter the base building, but can still go inside the outter walls right?

Yep anyone not declared can still enter the walls - just can't get inside the doorway.

if XXX is involved there will be lots of clone camping and starport camping lol. XXX is the scum of the server currently . I might be game to join that guild for some war fun. As long as me spamming ROLL TIDE ROLL! doesnt bother anyone

If you have an opinion or issue with a particular guild, then keep it to yourself, or speak directly with that person. Do not make derogatory comments in this thread or any other.

I've talked to mature folks on both sides of Griggs' War (<---Nice ring to it, eh?). Both accounts were very positive, one of them a real time blow by blow of what was going on just last night.

If I wasn't so occupied with other things, I'd be in PvP practice right now... for as far my Crowd Controller abilities could take me. Hopefully this will still be going on when I can fit it in! :-D

Having crafters vulnerable allows for logistics breakdown, and war by attrition and some other fun words I can't spell. If my guild declared war, I would just be more cautious... (except when they camp Nym's, I would be screaming for a zerg to roll them)
