"/assist" : What Happenned To It?

During the last couple of group combat sessions I've tried to use the Assist function to more easily acquire my buddies' target. Each time I typed it nothing happenned. Not even a different target was selected.

Has anyone else tried this? Or know of any SOE postings that declared it broken? (I've tried to Search, but the Search is down again).

It could be a bug on my part and temporary. This I hope, because in a more group focused combat system, /assist has become a much more important tool. Especially in crowded, hectic situations.

Can anyone /assist me on /assist?

They probly ditched it. At anyrate, if you target your friend and spam specials(most specials anyway), you'll attack your buddy's target with that attack. It works on most ranged stuff from what I've seen with the exception of snipershot in the rifleman line I belive, and not a single SL command.

Assist was specifically mentioned being removed at CU. I recall reading that and wondering why, but what Nyase said is much better, imo.
