I'll post an in-character story and an out of character re-cap later. These are just some teasers for people who weren't there (I have more shots of the battle). Thanks to everyone who could make it...there's a lot more to come:)

Absolutely, positively one of the best times I've had playing this game. I'm not trying to hype this too much but I really enjoyed that part of the event. I look forward to the rest.

I was having a wonderful time being "drunk" in the Cantina. And really folks, if you read Zannon's Part I and II of the birth of Nocturnus, you'd know I'd never really get drunk.

I think Curse finally figured it out when I said "I may be drunk, but I'm shtill a shmuggler."

I think it's funny that Sti-Fi seemed to get upset that the Mayor was that hammered. What can I say? X'an has a love of Brandy after fighting and dying.

I'm glad it ended with us in the cantina just letting lose. I was a little out of character for the drunk part. In truth Seret doesn't drink, at all. I should of played it that way but I wanted to have a few laughs.

I tried to establish as much hospitality towards Lost City folks so when it comes to RP we don't just have a stale commerce and defense relationship. I think it worked out well with Zannon showing sympathy to Dwi and Seret setting the ill Sti-Fi stay at Ruby's for no charge. I also wanted to make sure we weren't shooting down Curse's hypothesis even though most of us don't believe it. A strong relationship with the characters in Lost means we have a broader spectrum of people we can trust for events. That equals more fun.

I'm trying to get my vcr hooked up to my comp as a 2nd display (need an adapter I gotta go pick up) so for the next event, we can have full video of the event...the only prob is my new video card isn't VIVO so I can't convert them to a mpeg or whatever, but someone else could...unless I can find a cheap PCI card with vivo

yeah my gf4 card I could do VIVO because the s video port was a 9 pin port, and I thought my 5950 was a 9 pin as well, but it's a 4 pin, so it can only do video out, not in....

so my only options are to find a vid card that goes in a PCI slot with vivo (none on newegg.com so I think I'm screwed) or build a comp with my old card (time consuming and not quite enough parts) or fedex the tape to someone that can (not timely but I do get a 75% discount at fedex)

whoops spoke to soon, there are some tv tuner cards that can capture video...

I also happen to have FRAPS and it does a good job...

also is there any way to run fraps NOT on the admin account, it won't work with any other logins...

Hey. Sorry for not being able to hand around once the shooting started. A couple of seconds after the droids spawned, I crashed. Then, when I tried to log back on, the game kept crashing as soon as it started to load. I figured out about 2 hours later that my video card gave out and couldn't handle anything more than my OS. I needed a new one anyway, I just wish it had waited to give up on me.
