Keymap/Game Mode Bug?

This afternoon my slash and period key suddenly stopped registering with the game. My keyboard works fine, and shift+period and shift+slash work fine in game (for question marks and alligators)... I hard logged another character and the bug stayed. I hard logged, restarted my computer, and stayed out of game for several hours.

When I logged back in, I had suggestions to delete my profiles...that worked for about five mintues, then the bug came back. After a lot of messing around with my options, I realized that / and . are bugging and not being recognized for some reason in SWG game mode. I can only use them in MMO mode...which I hate.

I've sent in a ticket...but this is sooo frustrating. Apparently other people are having the same problem though...

It's been a recurring one with me also, though less frequent lately (knock on silicon). When it does happen with me, my top row number keys and keypad number functions go away also. A past experience with this during dealing at Club Midnight had me tearing my hair out.

I'll try MMO mode next time.

It's been happening for me for a while, although it's quite random. I just get used to it or change my "mode" it's quite fustrating really.

::nods:: They seem to have their hands full with a ton of popping up bugs and other problems lately. Their doing good considering though. At least now we actually hear something out of them about... "Oh, yeah, we know that's broke..." instead of crickets. Now we just need to nudge them enough for a.. "...and here's your update."

Yes, kinda. They said that when you go into keymap, there's four boxes on that screen. The only thing is, I thought they said the last one should be unchecked. Well, mine was unchecked, and I checked it....you know, for experimentation's sake....and my bug was fixed.

They said that if that didn't work, you had to uninstall and reinstall the game. But otherwise, if people have this probablem ever try messing with that last check box...even though I'm not sure I heard them right.

I've been running into the same problem now. Hard to click radial menu options, chat boxes disappearing... I'll try that. See if it works

I have also been having issues with my chat windows being rearranged or altogether different. If the aforementioned fixes don't work there is a file you can delete that will also resolve the issue but it also wipes all your default settings, toolbar setups, etc. I'll see if I can find the exact filename and location if anyone needs it.

Man that chat window bug is driving me nuts, it's like every time I sign in I have to set them up again. It's crazy.
