whadda ya think?
after reading a lot of billy corgan interviews in the local chicago papers, it looks like he has transformed like james hetfield of metallica, and released his dictatorship aspects of his band...
I sure hope they do get back together, they produced some of the best alt rock songs...every time I hear Bullet with Butterfly Wings I crank the volume on whatever I'm listening to...

Of course he wants Pumpkins back together again...his solo project blew and his beatnik poetry stint blew harder.

it may have blown but his poetry book was a best seller, and I think that doesn't matter much with his $10 mil mansion in highland park (i think)

I'm not talking about his poetry book...he was doing this weird-ass beatnik poetry thing at (of all things) public libraries in the city and suburbs. I remember reading a review of it that was entitled, "How the mighty have fallen" a while back that just ripped him and his live poetry readings.
When people get famous and rich like that, it ends up not being about the money anymore, but the attention. He's getting beat up with every new thing he does (book was a best seller, but was panned by a lot of folks), so he's gotta go back to the well now and do something tried and true. I'm not faulting him for this...just saying it shouldn't be a shock.

I have seen the Pumpkins live twice, once when they toured for Siamese Dream, Red Red Meat opened for them then. The other show was supporting Mellon Collie I think but the best thing about it was that Garbage was the opening act, Shirley Manson and the boy put on a good show. The thing I remember most about the Pumpkins shows is that they were the 2 loudest concerts I have ever been to. Oddly enough the 3rd loudest concert I have seen was Joan Osbourne of all people, bad PA at work I think.
