A BRAND NEW VIDEO and RP STORY, combined together!

This is a first for many reasons.

This is the first video of my own character.

This is the first time using new video editing software.

This is the first time I have integrated a video and a rp story together.

I decided to write the story about what's happening in the video, to better clarify what's going on, as it might not be totally obvious. The idea clicked when I heard this song, and this is the result.

it's about a 4.5 minute video, and I've compressed it enough and still keep good quality, so it checks in around 36 mb(originally was 80mb). Plus we're working on a way to do streaming video, so this might turn out easier.

I'm not sure if the story should be read before watching it or not. It's like reading the book before the movie, and then you know exactly what's going to happen. I guess that will be up to you, the viewer.

Enjoy!

Nice job! Ironically I am working on a similar concept. I look forward to the story now. I like how you did the scene through the walls at the begnning, that was well assembled.

I especially like the Space Shots in the Video, it kinda made me itchy to create a small "Remix" by recutting some of the scenes to create a new video, if thats okay with you :)

sorry I'd rather you wouldn't

but the space scenes are easy to film, and then I just sped them up 400% to get the feel of actually pulling away

Hey, no worries :)

I was kinda wondering how you got them to go that fast, I saw that you used Boosters the one shot you flew out of the station rather than into it.
Just inspired me.

What program did you use for captioning the movie?

yeah I only used boosters for the shot flying out of the station, because anyone with POV ship will know that as soon as the booster quits, your ship stops completely with no power or acceleration (nice bugs devs, how long has JTL been out??)

and I used FRAPS to capture the video in game...great program...if you have a good comp setup, it takes great video...it's even sharper than shown in the video, because the video editing software has processed it and compressed it, so you lose quality

I use Fraps, too. But with SWG it just kills the Framrate.

If I have 30 InGame, it drops down to 6... :-(

to improve fraps framerate, make sure it copies the video to an entirely different physical hardrive, than where the game is installed

yes, it's kinda complicated so I just went an easier route, but I'll have to use those sometime
