Hey sounds like a fun time. Its almost the 6th here and nothing happened here except they dressed up the DFAC with a bunch of red white and blue stuff. There was also rumor of near beer being distributed but since I don't eat at the same time as everyone else I apparently missed the great odouls toast.
At some point in the evening the Sergeant Major made everyone in my office, except me =), go outside and what a VTC between Vincenza, Italy and here. The unit I support over here is from there. The funny part about it is that no one in my office is actually in that unit. They all come from USAF, USMC, or stateside Army National Guard/Reserves. So they were all pissed that they had to waste their time watching other people talk to their families when they couldn't. It was a nice thing for the troops from Italy, probably would have made more sense if the Sergeant Major thought about the troops not from Italy and didn't make them go watch it.
Not going to get into the politics of the military though. Just happy I am a civilian in this war and don't have to deal with that junk anymore. I hope you all had great 4th's.
