JTL Problems...

I am starting pilot over since I dropped Imp and I have no flight skills at all. Is it me or are the mission just way harder now?

I haven't even opened a first box yet. I have an escort mission for a freighter. I can pretty much fight off whatever comes my way - this is not the problem, the problem is the freighter seemingly disappears, I just can't find the f*&^ing thing once I am done dog fighting and then I am too far away and I fail. I type in "/target hutt" and somtimes I get a lock on it and can rendezvous but if any other hutt craft are around I am screwed.

How do I finish this mission?

Also my mission are coming out of Mos Eiseley but I can't land there, any ideas?

OK, here's the deal. The K and L keys are supposed to target friendlies but don't work on escort missions. I got the mission done, but seriously - there has to be a better way to retarget and rendezvous with your escort after a wave of fighters. Especially when commerce raiders that aren't a part of the mission are jumping on you as well.

Tier 1 of Imperial was nowhere near this hard.

Hiya Jabe!

Sounds like your doing the Smugglers' Alliance, anyways...that mission was a pain I remember doing it vividly. I hate escort missions with a passion.
Best advice I can give is have someone help you out with it so you can take out the fighters faster and keep close the the freighter.
If i'm on let me know I can help ya out, although I'm only 2222 in space

Only thing I can think of can think of not seeing Eisley as a landing spot is:

1) Bugged like 75% of the game
or
2) when you are tier one it says next to eisley's name that the privateer trainer is there. and maybe you aren't seening just "Mos Eisley"

Thanks, looks like its cleared up on its own. After the last mission its letting me train all tier 1. I guess thats just how it works for privateer. Its kinda bizarre how the missions seem to get very hard then very easy.

I'll help you on any piloting missions you need help with, dude. Even on the easy missions it can help to have a buddy along.

Usually I belive the freighter is always highlighted on your Rader with a yellow square around it, which usually gives me a general idea of where it is. Also on escort missions I typically just disable all the fighters so I don't get to far away from it.

If you like the xwing like I do.. that may be all you need. If you look at my x-wing.. is is pretty much a 3-3-3-3 ship. You dont have enough mass to carry the "stuff" that is 4-4-4-4 and up.

I've actually got to finish off my character as well, Jabe. 3-4-4-3 pilot with Batty and 1-1-1-1 with Vreese and more pilots in the making.

Now, the problem I seem to be having with Jtl right now is sparatic movement and a jumpy throttle for some reason. The affect is my ship tends to 'jam' or 'wiggle' and then warp a distance in space and my throttle will go all over the place. Either jump up when I've got it turned down or vice versa.

Now, my joystick is calibrated; So, I'm just wandering if any of you have had this happen on your ends too or if it's just me?

I'd love to help myself. I am 3-4-4-4 since about two weeks after this came out. But alas I may be around when you hit the stage I am at. Unless of course you grind it out in two months.

Im running Inquistion pilot with my SWG:Total Experiance character and i have noticed that the missions seem way tougher then when i went Smugglers Alliance with my main. If you ever want a wingmate contact either Arnir Vekk or Cryil in game.

This is why i'm working on the advanced X-Wing quest myself and with several friends. I LUB my X-Wing, but the one with more mass to accomidate the good weapons, sheilds, ect i'll be one happy human.

Well I myself am working under Talon Karrd myself. I have a bugged escrot mission where the escort will never hyper out. Not to mention after one escort is done the next pops up. I have to do this mission or elles I will never be able to go up in another tier 4 box. Not to mention the fact that ships are bugged by being invulnerable from top and bottom as of late.

That's my next plan of action after I try to get the Y-8 for some reason I've just had all kinds of trouble with this stupid quest. Apparently my problem is that you can't do certain missions while grouped. Hopefully one more night and I can be done with it and start on the X-wing.

I hadn't tried the Y-8 myself but few others have and i've heard nothing but complaints about it not working properly and also sorts of wierd little things.
