I've never played one...but I remember them being one of the first professions to really get nerfed, but these changes sound pretty cool.

Wow, that actually sounds pretty good. I used to love CH but it because so unusable because the pets stunk that I ended up giving it up. It's about time they got some love.

I know we've got the starwarsgalaxies site to check too... but, meh, that place feels more and more useless with all the flamewars and inaccurate information. Think we could get 'On Test Center' notes from some of you playing there?
This upcomming publish with the reduced xp ammounts for groups seems like another example of a 'fun' breaker. Why in the world would they do this? Or are they just testing some xp possibilities there right now?
Also, the CH stuff looks great.

Yes the CH stuff really looks good. I was a MCH on my old server and was hit hard by that nerf.

Anyways about the XP nerf, Sai'nu,here is a recent quote

"Update to the version notes listed in this thread. This change won't go active until Test Center returns to service.

Grouping - This is now temporarily removed

And here is the original info

Added a new way to calculate group experience point (XP) bonuses. Experience Points (XP) are now divided by the total number of people in your group with an additional bonus for being grouped with other players. We will be testing out the group experience and currently group XP is set lower then we expect it to be set at.

I hope this helps, and yeah bad Idea nerfing xp that much, maybe it does need a little adjusting. From what I read people got 1/6th of the amount of xp when it was on the TC.

reducing group xp sounds like a dumb way to do things. theres alot of people that only hunt when they -are in- a group myself included. i can agree if things are along the lines of too many people getting too strong too fast losing interest etc. but dropping experience gains because some dorks arent committed to a game to punish the others is only going to drive them away faster me thinks. but as has been said its been temporarily suspended. so ill shush.

If you read the notes carefully it reads that they're only planning on changing the group bonus XP, this shouldn't really change any advantage to hunting in a group and I would expect that it would only make a small impact on XP in general when and if it does come back.

Again, important to note that this change has been turned off, so it seems the developers didn't like it. I would be surprised if it came back this publish.
