The guy that first wrote about the Teras Kasi did a short interview on teraskasi.net. I don't know why, but I am somewhat disappointed with his responses. I didn't walk away feeling he knew or I knew any more about the Teras Kasi than before.
But here it is at any rate:

Yeah, it was pretty vanilla. But it does show how an author takes what he knows from RL and tries to apply it to the rules and "history" of the star wars universe to create something new.
Many of us do this when we create our own histories and when we invent various "orders" and such.
If anything, I think the article is a good example of "how to create".

I always look at it as... the profession they had to come up with to make Star Wars: Mortal Kombat! A feasible game idea. It was always an idea of counter force users from what I understood reading the playstation pamphlet to the game. Star Wars monks!

yeah the interview doesnt really put things in SWG terms, but the insight of how the Teräs Käsi feel the force and flow forward in combat are perfect points to use in roleplay.
I am disappointed that he never mentioned the relationship to the martial art and the creatures of the galaxy.
*sidenote* preCU /unarmedheadhit was named "Nexu Grin", the Nexu was the catfrom ep2 in the geo arena, cool relationship here is when it attacked the geo on the mount, it went for the head !
