I might suggest drawing one side perfectly, then cloning and flipping a mirror image to make the full thing in an image editing program. That way your tattoo can be all perfecto and stuff.

Also, you might want to aim for selling flash sheets, rather than an entire book...I don't know anything about what tattoo shops will pay for them, but I would ready a good set of general flash sheets, make a few prints of them, and market them to a couple different artists/shops.

They're workin ok for me anyone else having problems with the links?

Thanks for the idea Dwi

I only say book cause I did a drawing of a cross with the Marine seal over it for my brother-in-law (He's a Marine heading for Iraq), and the shop ower asked him if I had a book.

Any one know for sure which is prefered? I would love to be able to start sellin what I got rather than waiting.

I'm no expert, but if you want to start selling immediately I would think making one flash sheet would be a lot easier than producing and publishing a book.

If you're not sure what tattoo shops will be expecting from a typical flash sheet, just go to Google Image Search and type in "Flash Sheet." You'll get a very large set of image hits that should give you a good idea. Like I said, no expert, but I'd say flash sheet...one big main idea, a few mediums, and a few really small ones, all along the same theme.

You DO know that by "book" he meant "portfolio," right?

He doesn't want you to print up a book with bound covers and crap. He means get a 3 ring binder with clear 8x11 sheets that hold your work in them, with 100s of samples to choose from.
