New Expansion Announced at a Euro FanFest.......

Live from Leipzig, SOE has just announced its next expansion for SWG: Trials of Obi-Wan.

It will introduce Mustafar, a mining planet where the duel between Obi-Wan and Anakin happened.
Most of its 50 new quests will revolve around Obi-Wan, living as an NPC on the planet, and you'll need to help him find his way. You'll to find your way too as every quest will ask you to make choices, leading you to the dark or light side of the force. It will impact directly on your standing with Obi-Wan.
Those quest will also talk about the history of Mustafar, which was first seen on the movie but which has not been very used in the Star Wars universe.
LucasArts and SOE also announce that we'll see NPCs from other Star Wars games in this expansion. The speaker was kinda mysterious about it, but some characters from the old world (?) could make a new apparition as a new "shape" [maybe a ghost?]
Misc informations:
- many new instanced areas on the planet ("who have really good reasons to be instanced")
- Mustafar will be totally aimed towards high level players (but you will be able to bring your friends with the sidekick system)
- no new space zone
This add-on will be released along with the DVD of Episode 3... that means November 1st.
.......I hope, for the sake of all Jedi that play this game, that there is non-Jedi content, or else I feel a massive disturbance in the force building up against us!

This sounds kind of lame... Obi-wan is dead at this point in history.

I guess it's official now then... we're playing in an open ended Galaxy... Not the time period between Episodes 4-6. *shrugs* Star Trek is being set up the same way though... so you can go experience things from the all the different movies and time periods... I guess deves like this idea of meshing. I'd like to see something a little more authentic and timeline based... yet another appealing factor of WoW... the history is where it belongs... the past.
That said... I hope they 'do' offer content to players other than Jedi or this one will cause an even bigger heatstorm than our Publish 22 thing did.

FanFest... nice. It took place at the Games Convention in Leipzig, massive computer and console, well, games convention, regularly more visitors than E3 ^^
From what i heard from people who were there (and i decided to not visit this year o_O damn) the expansion is no rumor.
Though from what is known it stays within the time period of Episode 4-5, all imagery that was shown of Obi-Wan showed him as a blue glowy.
But i haven't heard about more of the content yet.

Lol i cant believe anyone actually buys that post there not going to bring out that planet as an expansion unless its like a single player zone you can take your character into just cause you bought the movie which i doubt period. Im guessing its a big misunderstanding . Besides why would they bring it out at euro fan fest and not at our considering we are the major money base for the game. Ill be shocked if this is serious unless it comes free with the movie or something to that extent

If you'll check your Friday Features on StarWarsGalaxies site... you'll see that it is, in fact, not bull crap... This is in development and going live.

I stand corrected and will not pay money for this stupid ass expansion it sure as hell better be free. I want content not a freaking quest zone again for the love theres 2d free mmos with better devs than this game.
