I have heard that NEC and viewsonic are good choices

yeah that's the same monitor, I can get it online from staples, and their warehouse is here in town, so I can get it next day with free shipping

I paid less than $100 for my silver-colored plastic flat screen (not flat panel) 19". Don't remember what brand. Don't care. Looks great.

Oh, you say it might burn out in 5 years? The flat panel 21" monitors will probably be down to $100 by then. I'll get one of them.
