It's $2.99 regular here in AL. The radio news was saying that the price increase isn't actually from any gas storage, but from people freaking out over rumors about there being a gas shortage and filling up every gas tank and gas can they can get their cans on. As demand goes up, so does the price.

It was $3.09 at the pump this morning, but there's a Mobil that had it at $2.99 that I didn't know about.

Although on the news this morning it was $3.64 at a pump in Chicago yesterday and people called the District Attorney or whatever, and the guy suddenly reduced his price by 20 cents.

No, he wasn't profiteering, I'm sure of it. (Hi, sarcasm here).

That's kinda neat...for AL it links to another webpage with links to ANOTHER webpage but the gas prices are for the last 72 hours, and in a time like this it seems like they're changing so fast that's a bit slow.

It was 2.55 at Costco yesterday when I filled up but I believe most of the stations here in Nashville are in the 2.75 range (that's in the more expensive area's but I haven't noticed what it is in the more rural area's, it's usually 5-10 cents cheaper there).

I went to the pet supply store at 130pm today and took note that the Speedway by me here in Louisville was charging $3.09 for regular unleaded, but just 30 minutes later on the way back home it was back to $2.89. I guess someone may have jumped the gun or the AG's office here got a call regarding possible gouging.

Zzzzzz

Lots of places here are out of regular gas, and every place here is pay before you buy because of drive offs. I drove halfway home on fumes and felt my car starting to get "tired" because I couldn't find a place that had regular.

The crazy thing? The place I finally found was like, monopolized by a train of guys pulling trailers loaded with four wheelers and gas cans. WTF?

Drive-offs are getting out of control up here in Chicago. Several PD's I work for are telling me their stats on drive-offs are going through the roof.
