Need Help With Sig

I've wanted to make a sig for myself here for a while. I have a Pic I want to use and a screen shot but the pic is huge. Anyone know how to make it smaller but keep its quality? If it has to do with the scanning setting how do you change it to make it smaller?

Use Adobe Photoshop for this.. It has sizing and layering for fonts and all the effects you need to make it look uber.
