Add on a little help from the two worst teams in the AFC North beating the two best in the NFC North.

Cincinatti violates Minnesota 37-8 (?!?)
Cleveland edges out Green Bay 26-24

Weirdness. The only thing that I don't like about the start of the football season are the crazy scores in the first 4 regular games. By the time all of the cuts are made and positions won is when we see the character of the team that lasts the rest of the season.

With the bears defense and the general lack of quality in the NFC North I could see them winning the division at 9-7 or 8-8. And Keer don't sleep on the Bengals those tigers got some bite this year, they can play score points!!

I know what the heck is up with Daunte Culpepper? He's killing my Fantasy League team dang it! 8 Int. in two weeks?!? No TD's!! Thank God for Willie Parker or my season would already be in the tank. (This is not the SWG FFL where thank God I didn't draft until after all the good guys were gone :D )

other goodies (besides the 5 INT's) :D

Larry: Why did the Bears wear their white jerseys in their home opener against Detroit?

Matthew
San Antonio, Texas

Matthew: The Bears opted to wear white jerseys rather than their traditional navy blue because they felt that it might be a warm day and the light jerseys would be cooler. It was a decision they had to make several months ago. By the way, the temperature at kickoff was 76 degrees.

Larry: When was the last time the Bears scored 31 points in the first half of a game?

Sam B.
Park Ridge, Illinois

Sam: Sunday's game marked just the third time the Bears have scored 31 or more points in the first half. The two other occasions were both against the Washington Redskins. The Bears scored 41 in a 48-13 win on Nov. 28, 1948 at Wrigley Field and 31 in a 45-10 victory on Sept. 29, 1985 at Soldier Field.

Larry: When was the last time the Bears beat the Lions more than 32 points?

Phillip A.
Chicago

Phillip: Sunday's win was the Bears' most lopsided over the Lions since a 42-6 decision on Nov. 24, 1946, a span of 112 games

Also, Sunday's game marked the first time since 1987 (Ditka, 11-4 season) that Da Bears have scored 32 points (or more) against an opponent.

DAMN that was an awesome game, and I only saw the last quarter.

Can't wait for next week.

Also: NIU (my alma matter) has been kicking all kinds of ass lately as well. They're playing like a Big 10 team (losing by about 12 points to Michigan and ALMOST beating Northwestern after missing a 2 point conversion at the end), routing Tenn Tech (I think it was Tech) by like 40 points last weekend.

I never would have expected a MAC team to play like that. I don't expect them to be MAC for much longer.

The MAC is no joke as the past few years have shown, my alma mater Louisville bounced back after their cruddy win again Kentucky by abusing a poor Oregon State. Go Cards!!!!! :D
