Someone posted this on the Gorath board, but it's so nice figured I'd post it here too.

My main complaint is the col. bothan and zabrak just look odd. And the bothan with pink hair in the imperial uniform looked out of place in the last scene.

Not bad. There crammed quite a bit of imagery and sound into that intro, thus making it large and choppy on some computers. Someone with a 56K modem would take a long time to view it.

And you're right, the pink bothan is out of place.

But its scripted well and I like how they did the rest of the site, even though there isn't much flow to it.

Welll...it's a really damn LONG intro, if it's supposed to be an "intro"...

I stopped watching it after they did the pan-up on Vader's legs.

I've got a collection of all of those screenshots at home already that I took myself. I don't need to watch their lengthy conglomeration of them combined with craptastic camera moves.

Very ambitious, certainly, but uh, I lost interest.

I thought it was pretty good. Nothing I want to watch again, but not bad.

Then again, I have no artistic talent.

I was impressed by the effort. Almost made me want to join the Empire. Then I saw that ridiculous Bothan with the purple hair and busted out laughing. Nevermind!

Eh, it's the empire, and i happen to like the song. If you want to see bad videos, you should see some of the crap i tried to turn in at college.

I've done pretty cool videos of PvP, but I had to take them off my website... not enough storage. Upgrading my account soon though, so booyaa... :) And i'm talking REAL videos, not this flash animation crap with screenshots. Full. Motion. Video.

Damn, I'm uber.

Crap, I shoulda posted this as Af'ecks. oh well.

I thought the video was good, but the Bothan ruined it for me as well. Call me an elitist, but I just believe the Empire should be a certain way.

I thought about doing an Imperial Recruitment video when I got FRAPS (I have a great idea for one), but ultimately that idea, like many of my good ideas, had a life or death struggle with my laziness/short attention span/lack of time and lost.

You must be a clone of mine or something. I think my laziness is a little more advanced than yours. I don't even take the effort to mention half my ideas anymore. Maybe I should, in hopes that they spark insterest in someone else to do them. :) Goddess knows I won't. :D

I thought the intro was cool. Until they made the common mistkae most Imperials make in the game: they aren't human. You go through this awesome video and then it features two really freaky non humans that the Empire wouldn't want anything to do with.

My characters are Imperial because they have been exploited and they bring something to the table. They aren't crafters though.

Yeah, the SW purist in me always chafes a little when I see non-human imperials.

Through RP, anything can be justified to a degree. But a large number of imperials following a a Bothan and a Zabrak is a bit much.. colonel's no less.

I remember in the Thrawn novels that he made mention of having to overcome being a non-human.

I can see non-humans as expendable mercenaries hired by the empire. I don't see them as part of the internal Imperial Military.

Yeah, but it's not enough purists to go around. First they let aliens in the Empire, then they reduced the prices on all of the faction pets. I liked the idea that certain species could never get certain pets, then they pissed all over that. A little known fact is my character started as a Rodian, then I rerolled because being Impeiral meant more to me than anything else.

If I had my way with the game, Aliens would be allowed to join, but they could never pass the rank of Seargent. Oh yeah, and I'd do a billion other things to make the game better.
