Lag Patches?

I've been getting really bad lag patches in game lately...just in the middle of hunting. Given, it's in heavy hunting groups of eight where there's often a lot of animals nearby...but even with my graphics turned way down, I'm hitting these massive lag potholes where it's like I seize up for a moment and I expect to lose my connection or something.

My computer is showing no issues outside of the game or in running anything else and I run antivirus/antispyware stuff daily. Is anyone else running into these in the past two weeks or so or is it something up with my machine/connection?

No kidding, the lag server wide is just horrible. Not to mention bugs they still haven't fixed, like my client forgetting its options, etc.

I noticed bad lag yesterday and when I went to switch characters my launchpad did an update. Granted, I'm on dial up, but once that patch went through my game became more 'normal' than 'unplayable' as it was getting. That might be the problem.
