I always felt bad for him. We were all that same dorky kid once at some point in our lives. There were a lot of people who tried to make him feel good about his publicity like the guys trying to get him in Episode 3, but I can't blame him for suing the pants off those "friends".

I always felt bad for him. We were all that same dorky kid once at some point in our lives. There were a lot of people who tried to make him feel good about his publicity like the guys trying to get him in Episode 3, but I can't blame him for suing the pants off those "friends".

I had heard that it wasn't stolen from the cabinet (because honestly, if you shot that of yourself, would you A. Bring it to school and then B. Leave it at school in a community cabinet???). Instead, I had heard that he shot it on a camera borrowed from the library, and left the videotape in the camera by mistake, and that the next guys who borrowed the camera found the tape and uploaded it.

If that's the case, the suit has no grounds, and it makes more sense than the kid bringing it to school and allowing it to be locked up in a communal locker.

Remember, we are talking about a junior high school kid. Is he supposed to have the presence of mind and responsibility of an adult? It's not like he's Tommy Lee, Pam, or Paris. No kid of his age should have to deal with this. I'd also grant his friends the same slack as I would him. At that age they don't know the meaning of responsibility to friends.

Would one of you guys do that to each other without asking? And if so, in the face of his embarrasment would you say "Oh well! Ya' shouldn't have left it out"?

well I have some rather seedy stuff my friends were involved in captured on tape. no, I wouldn't put that on the internet (because I was involved too)

Yes, and yes.

I think I can say with relative certainty that Skarr and I would have sold out one of our associates over that tape. I have to say, though, that we didn't pick on each other in Jr. High to that extent; we did our best to stick together. We had enough people picking on us at the time.

Dude, you obviously did not go to our Jr. High. I got in a huge fight with the school bully (like, the ENTIRE SCHOOL was in attendance for it after class), and I'll let Skarr tell you about the tarantula hairs episode.

Hell, we had a kid pass out and PISS HIMSELF after he gave himself a concussion (when his head hit the floor from passing out) because he saw his own blood droplet on his finger from a blood test in science class, and WE NEVER LET HIM FORGET IT (in a good natured, joking way), not even in high school.

I'm not even going to start discussing the embarrasment of having to go through puberty in a public shower for PE class with a bunch of bully asshole popular kids.

It was entirely possible that the popular kids had started a sex club, and were doing it after school in the popular clique's houses because both parents worked and weren't home.

We had a scandal where the History teacher (a guy) was caught by a student boinking the Asst. Principal (a woman) ON HIS DESK just after school.

I don't mean to sound overly callous, but I'm sorry man, SW Kid can cry me a river. He brought this upon himself. In our school, he would have known better than to bring that tape to school. He'd have known he'd be toast.

Keer has a point, but so does X'an.

On Keer's side kids do stupid crap and ANY group of kids in ANY school are bound to exploit it if they found out. Kids are inherrantly cruel, and on top of that the kid did not deserve the embarassment. I do actually feel bad for him.

But on X'an's side its no criminal case. If it was hundreds of parents would drag their embrassed kids to court for "mental damages" evertime some bully, or just mean kid, rips on their kid. Its sad that this happens everyday and I fear for my daughter when she eventually starts school but it does happen.

I personally was picked on like mad. I was the skinny dork with glasses who made for an easy target. Just ask Coiyonite, he was one of the only kids in my class who ever stood beside me when the jerks came out of the woodwork (which is why we're still friends to this day). Back then I thought my life sucked, that I would suffer forever, and I hoped and prayed anything would happen to make it all stop.

Now I look back and see how none of it mattered. I learned what learned and made friends that counted and now I'm grown up, I have a house, a wife, a beautiful daughter and plenty of friends and hobbies to keep me happy. None of it mattered, no matter how embarassing it was, because of the bullying and taunting made me what I am today. Today I'm happy and thats all that counts.

There's actually an entire archive of footage of me and my friends skateboarding (and badly, I might add) at the local cable channel (think Wayne's World) that they kept airing for at least 5 years after I graduated High School. It was a huge hit with people because we were obviously faking the falls in the more "extreme" videos, but they were just bad enough to be funny. I'm not sure if it counts as public humility, but I'd sure love/hate to see it now.

I bet it's still on file there...

..."a" huge fight? Me and my friends regularly changed our clothes before we left the building. Either "The Gauntlet" was gonna run me for "My Adidas" (RUNDMC, boy!) and Kangol Hat, or it was just a rumble and you didn't want to do it in your "good" clothes. Junior high crack cocaine dealers? I would've celebrated for a fight with some "jocks".

Ha! I, actually was the first kid to do In-House Suspension for sex on the premises. For the last 2 years of high school I was known as the "Kissing Bandit." So, okay, I got some "bad boy points" for that.
