ever heard a back story to a song that totally changed how you listened to it?
Like Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven"
Granted Eric Clapton isn't the greatest "person", He has a way with music.
He wrote the song after the death of his three year old son. He barely knew the kid until the day before he died, when he told the boy's mother (they weren't married) that he finally knew what being a father was all about.
Next day, the kid fell from a high-rise window.
look it up, and give the song another listen.
I have other songs like this that were totally changed once I knew why they were written, but you guys first.
